Lacy (lacy_stewart) | 1966 comments Nicola, sorry that happened. =)

Linda, I am on page 187 and I do like it. I keep getting distracted by my other books. That usually happens when I find something sad or dreary. It is moving faster now that we are past the introductions. I keep hoping that there will be a character with some redeeming qualities to make up for all of these messed up people.

I'm rooting for all of these disturbed teenagers and hoping that the story goes well for them.

What did you think of the actual writing and details?

Courtney K (cklueh) | 512 comments I'm also listening and there are some weird things happening with the Playaway. I keep having to scroll back when usually it automatically bookmarks. I'm feeling sorry for all the unhappy marriages but am also engrossed.

Linda | 403 comments Hi Lacy,
I found her writing to be typical Rowling, very detailed, she sets the scenes well and I could get a pretty vivid picture of Pagford and the characters in my mind while reading which was a blessing to have with this story since it was such a sad story.

Lacy (lacy_stewart) | 1966 comments I'm finished. Very well written, but very sad.

Courtney K (cklueh) | 512 comments I'm finished, too. I don't think I would have even picked this book up if not for this challenge. I don't usually read sad, morbid things, especially when children are mistreated. I did keep going back to the book, eager to find out what happened next. However, I will look more closely at the plot before reading another Rowling adult novel. Thanks for reading with me!
