Hi all,
I am new here. I love to read but up until recently have had very little time as I was a single parent working full time. However, a year ago I was made redundant from my job and now have a great deal of time.
As well as new books I feel like re-visiting some old ones. Is there any one out there who could tell me the titel of a book of short stories by Steven King, one of which was called, 'The Long Walk?'
Thank you in advance for any help.

Thanks Mary, I remeber now. I am not sure how i came across the book but that story was so disturbing and when I see things on the telly like 'Big Brother', it pops into my mind. I shall get the book and re-read it and see if it still has the same impact.

There is another obscure book i have wondered about about a school where the pupils are clones but they don't realise it, they just know there is something strange going on. As they grow up they slowly learn the truth.
Thanks again for your help.

Thanks Leesa, I think you might be right but I didn't know they made it into a film. I shall google it and let you know but it does sound right. A really heart breaking story.
