I think it depends upon how you look at it. It can be a curse because you waste your life on it, but then again, that's a sacrifice you must make. You get new friends (Fictional and nonfictional) And your imagination gets better. So yeah, you may wither away in front of a book or in front of a good T.V. show... but then again, is that really a bad thing? No, it's amazing.

Like RadyCat - BRILLIANT PART OF THE PJO FANDOM, but because she has literally no canon ships the PJO fandom just hates her. She has such good points about the major - major - major flaws in Percy, Nico, and Leo's characters, and because these boys are the fandom's "babies" they hate her for it.
Sherlock and Loki fandoms just idealise these two, and even though we all love them (its okay, too, because I love these guys), we make them out to be sweethearts when Loki is a murderer who killed 80 people in an hour and helped his brother destroy a race of people, and Sherlock jumps for joy at serial killings.
And people hATE PIPER LIKE WAT.

There was some vote going around on facebook asking which was the best part of the book and apparently Leo/Calypco moment came in first. Am I the only one who doesn't even like that moment? Like the boy just met the girl. The best part was the Nico confession.
Am I the only one who really didn't like that confession? I hate how when people say that, others tend to name that person against homosexuals. Excuse me, but I for one hated that addition. I love Nico, don't get me wrong. I want to hug him all the time and I love his brotherly side with Hazel.
But....It wasn't necessary! Not at all. Now, it just makes it awkward and I see no reason for that to be included. I would have preferred him to like Annabeth, but even THAT I wouldn't have liked.
Worst thing is, I could tell it wasn't going to be Annabeth. When they mentioned him liking someone, I was instantly like......."I know where this is heading. He included this, didn't he?"
The thing is....I'm sick of reading about it! You don't have to unnecessarily add it in something to let the world know you are good with that.
I was a little irritated. So if others don't like this opinion, that's okay.
I love Nico, but hated the confession.
I still like him and hazel.

I liked the moment where Leo swore on the Styx to go back to her. And in my defense, in case you get made at me for liking it(Though, I doubt you would. ☺☻), time's different in Ogygia. He could have been there for a while. I think the book said a few days?
As for the Nico confession, it was one of the plot twists I had absolutely no clue about. It mostly left me shocked. I still like Nico though. ^-^ I don't like him as much as the other fangirls who love him, but I like him.
On another note, I SAW A PICTURE OF LITTLE NICO WITH BIANCA. Gods of Olympus, it was so cute and sad! D:

The fact that he LEFT CAMP BECAUSE HE LIKED PERCY. Honestly, Rick, that's an awful reason.
Percy allowed his sister to die. Nico would not have liked Percy to any extension, because it doesn't make sense.
He could have left camp out of fury, but as he got closer to Percy in later books, he could start to develop feelings and feel confused.
The way it was set up was sloppy, and made no sense. It's not that difficult to flip back to previous books, read the key interactions between Percy and Nico, and weave the 'Nico-is-possibly-homosexual-or-queer-in-some-other-way' story in.
For instance: When was Nico and Percy's first positive interaction? When did Nico grow up and forgive the doofus? When, Where, Why, How?
Other than these flaws in the story, I think the idea is great and I understand that it wasn't an original characteristic that came with Nico, but Rick, as an author who has written a dozen and more books in the past, could have been much cleaner with the whole idea.

Yeah... I did reread titans curse and didn't find it. Rick did say it was not his original idea, but perhaps before that scene he could've made it like "something's up" he was just as cold and dark as ever, honestly. It would've been better if he could have known from the beginning. Agreed Eli.
I just had a heart attack on Instagram. There was a post and it said "Rick Riordan recently just announced that Nico will die in blood of Olympus."
I started to cry like "NO! That kid is awesome! Why do all of my favorite have to die like that, I mean, it's jury not fair."
Then at the bottom in really tiny print it said "jk, now carry on."

Yeah, but it still doesn't make sense at all. Percy was gone for 2 weeks and Leo was gone for what? Less then that? Are you kidding me? And time goes slower in Ogygia, and Leo's supposed to fall in love with Calypso in that much time? So many question marks lol. Under normal circumstances I would have been mildly po'd but Riordans just trying to set everyone up. And ughh, i'm just irritated. Whatever, i'll get over it.
I think that ricks plots are good... But like, the way he sets everything up just doesn't really work, you know? Like, making Nico gay.. It was a great idea, just sry up poorly... And the Leo thing... It's just like... Can you have one single charecter Rick? I know the fandom likes it, but it's not interesting anymore...

Yeah, you can kind of relate to her. It's hard to relate to that wicked funny guy who can control water... But easy to relate to the one who's self conscious about herself.

And totally agree with the Percy/Annabeth thing. It got pretty sickening when all they really cared about were themselves, like honestly at points you could just tell that they were so self-involved that they totally neglected others through their blindness and selfishness. Like the people in love with them, or how they'd pick each other over the world. I liked them better in the old books.

She had a good instinct for people too. She understood what motivated most of her friends- even her brother, Nico, who wasnt easy to read.

Yeah, i don't think she knows either.. But i agree with u, Rick's probably gonna have her find out in the next book.. It'll be really interesting when that does happen though, espcially if Percy finds out...

I know, I was so inspired I wrote down a scene of it. What do you think Percy would do or how he would find out? Like I have no clue about either but I feel like he would be like "im sorry". But I dont think Nico would tell him honestly.
Yea, I doubt Nico will tell them cuz from seeing him a a character, he's already hides himself so much that it's more likely he will keep it to himself...but then again I think it would be good if Rick had him say so, you know since this is gonna be the last book...:'(
