Shirley (shirleythekindlereader) Sounds so cute but $10 books must be budgeted for here.

Shirley (shirleythekindlereader) Banning is very small (25,000)after talking with the library I determined we are orphans.

Ava Catherine | 4258 comments Ok, you know I am game on! I have ordered a used copy, which should arrive before the Toppler. So I'll be set to go! This sounds like a fun book, doesn't it! This is one of the things I love about GR... finding wonderful books I would have never heard of otherwise. ; )

Ava Catherine | 4258 comments Awwwwww! Cute!! I have my book, so I am ready for the toppler!
My library just has old, old musty books that must be 40 or 50 years old. I have great difficultly finding the kinds of things I want to read there. And we are about to build a new 90 million building for the library...I hope we get some new books, too. All our money has gone into computers at the library!
I end up at the used bookstore most of the time.

Pragya (reviewingshelf) | 4026 comments Ok, I almost didn't get the book title right and died of a panic attack. But then I checked again and viola, I have my Kindle book at the ready. Can't wait to start.

Ava Catherine | 4258 comments I am going to try to start this book Saturday. I opened it today and loved the maps! I'm a sucker for a book with maps. Then I read the Prologue and wasn't too excited about the author's writing style. Hoping it improves, I jumped into the first chapter and liked it much better. However, I am not dying to get back to it. I have a few other books to finish before this one, so I'll get back to it soon

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments I just checked my library holds and the audiobook is waiting for me. I'll miss the maps - just looked and hard copy is at the library so I can get both! Unless I have Judy's luck :) I don't know if I'll get a chance to start it before Monday, but am looking forward to it!

Ava Catherine | 4258 comments I have started this book, it wasn't setting me on fire, so I have put it aside for a few days while I complete some other books for other groups and Night Circus for the Harvest Moon Challenge. I have so many books in my little gopher piles!!! Mercy!!!
I shall return!
The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity looks really interesting. I may need to add it to my tbr. : ) Don't know about giving up books though. I should do that for Lent. : )
