David Nolan is his Storybrooke name. As far as we know, Charming is his Fairy Tale name (Which seriously annoys me)

Yup, we haven't heard his name. Strange...
He goes by his brother's name sometimes in fairy tale land

Yes, because he's technically impersonating the guy. I wonder how many people actually know the truth-that the guy is dead.

For some reason, I feel like his name was James...or is that another prince?

No... In the OUAT Wikia, they say that David isn't his real name. James was David's twin brother that died.

Of course David isn't. We've already realized that the only people who have kept their true names are those who remember fairy tale land- Regina and Jefferson...
Because, they were the only ones who remembered at first. Jefferson remembered because he was "trapped" in that house until Emma "stayed" and Regina... well. Let's not be too obvious.

Exactly. Which is why David isn't Charming's real name, because that would mean he remembered...

If anyone is interested his mother's name is Ruth.

Who sees Robin Hood coming out of this in the future?

Okay, so his name is Richard. Apparently. But, I don't think that was really said in the show itself... So I'll let it go. We knew his mom's name was Ruth though..
And, Snow is definitely Robin Hood.

Oh, wow. I've seen her with a bow in 3 episodes and that never crossed my mind. *smacks forehead* stupid me >_<

The moment I saw her right at the beginning with her crossbow, in a forest, all dressed in green and stealing from a prince, I was pretty much "Seriously? What?"
[Actually, my real reaction was:
"no, Snow is Robin Hood!!!!!!! she takes only from the rich and wears green...
thats the thing, im not sure how that side of her personality fits in with her calm, nice personality in Storybrook, you know what i mean?" [Copied from the Rehab group, topic: Other :)
I knew so little of her then...]

In light of the discovery of David's true name in the episode Tiny, let's look closely at his namesake: King David of Israel.
Sia, I bet you know this. King David was... anointed when he was brought in from tending the sheep. David Nolan, like King David, was a shepard. David Nolan, like King David, was sent to replace someone else. David Nolan, like King David, became King.
Coincidence? I think not.

Oh, and don't forget, King David provided the lineage from which the Savior was born
Who, exactly, is Emma's father?
David Nolan.

I feel like I've said this at some point, or maybe thought of it, but I can definitely see the connection.
Maybe David got to keep his birth name in Storybrook because of the whole dead-amnesia thing...
Also, King David is the good, innocent nice sorta guy, at least in the beginning, while Saul [James?] also started off as poor but slowly because corrupt and sort of obnoxious which also sort of works out...

I think that's probably it. Regina probably figured he'd never wake up, so she decided not to use her imagination to make him a new one.
OH MY GOSHNESS. That's exactly what I was thinking, about Saul and James. But it feels like a stretch. I think it's much easier to associate Saul with King George.

I highly doubt that Regina put so much thought into it. I think the curse did most the name making, not her. She just placed the curse... Basically, i think what you say is right, other than the fact that I would switch the word 'Regina' with 'the curse'.
King George fits in only towards the end. At the beginning, he's the one that comes to call David, so he is more Samuel, no? Only after he wants to kill David he takes on Saul's role. And we are probably trying to find too many similarities. I have a feeling the first post [and second] you wrote were what the writers of the show thought of, the rest we're just trying to force more connections on :)

Well, no. At first, remember, King David was the special one. He was cautiously adored by King Saul. Saul brought him close to make sure he didn't take the throne.
But King David was the anointed one... And dur. there was no contest
Prince David (the OUAT one) was found by Rumplestiltskin... which actually puts puts him not King George as Samuel.
But if we are forcing them... Why not? If it fits, it fits!
