Well, it looks like Sarah Eden's An Unlikely Match is the winner for October. I love Ms. Eden's books and can't wait to get my hands on this one. Who wouldn't enjoy a good Regency ghost story? I contacted the author and she hopes the book will be released the first week of October, but she didn't have an exact date. I'll keep my eyes open and let everyone know when the book is available.

I'm guessing the ebook version will be around $10, if it's one that is available for loan I will be happy to let someone borrow my copy when I am done reading.

I just checked and the paperback version of Unlikely Match is available on Deseret Book. I'm not sure if it's in stores yet (I live in Japan and can't check), but since it's on DB I'm guessing it will soon be on Amazon. I'll keep you posted...

Sharon | 81 comments Ok I picked up Unlikely Match at my local bookstore. Tonight can't wait to read it. I will let you know what I think.

Katie- I wouldn't be surprised, that happens to me a lot. Although, it does seem like her books never go on sale.

Sharon- I got my copy today (my kindle broke so I have to read it on my iphone), I can't wait to start either.

We'll have a group discussion with a new folder around the 20th, hopefully after everyone has had a chance to read it.

I think I am in a "reading funk" because I cannot get into any books the last few days. I started reading this on Saturday and with the way that I read should have finished it way before now. But I'm barely half way done! Ugh! Not sure what in the world is going on with me! LOL. Hopefully I get out of this soon... reading is my break from reality and believe me... I need one! LOL.

KJ- maybe there is something going around, because I have been in a funk to. I'm having a hard time finding anything I want to read. I did enjoy this though, I hope you end up liking it too.

Lol, there mist be something in the water. I've started a bunch of books and just can't get into any! :)

Sharon | 81 comments You know I was talking to KJ the other day and we both decided we are both on the same page so to speak. I just have to put my books down for awhile or switch genres. I do own this book but I just couldn't get into just yet. So I started reading the new book by Melanie Jacobson but I am not exactly excited about reading that one either. They are both great authors and have written wonderful books so I think I will just stick with a good tv show for the night. Maybe tomorrow my desire will return.

After talking to my aunt I decided that I needed to grab my all time favorite Marcia book... Kissing Cousins! It got me out of the funk just enough to get hooked into An Unlikely Match. Let's just say while reading on my lunch I hit a point in the book that I just could NOT put it down and spent the remainder of work reading snatches here and there. And I got away with it too because the big boss man had left for the day and the 2 girls in my office wanted to know ALL about the book and what happened! Haha. I am not sure if I am ready to start up a new book so I'm just going to keep rereading my all time favs! You can never go wrong with Marcia! ;o)

KJ- I total will re-read old favorites when I get in reading slumps! Marcia usually does the trick, but I find when I read one Marcia book I want to read them ALL. Which would be okay if she didn't have 40+ books!! When is her newest one coming out?

Sharon- It's funny you mentioned Smart Move, I'm reading that one right now. I've enjoyed her other three books, but I'm not liking this one that much, I just don't like the main character Sandy. I was hoping it would get better as the book progressed, but it's just not doing it for me. I may have to pull out some of my favorite chick flick DVDs for the night! :)

Kathy - When I checked her website yesterday it said the ebook would be available in a few days and you can still pre-order the printed copy which would be shipping ASAP. So it looks like really soon! I was bummed when September 21st came and went but I didn't have my book! I ordered it the day it was available for pre-order! Yes... I am THAT addicted!! LOL.

Kana - I am not sure if it will be available for nook. When I looked on her website all her books were available for kindle but I didn't see any of them for nook. :o(

Kathy - I did finish Smart Move but only because I cannot start reading a book and not finish it unless it is offensive in some way....language graphic contect etc. I agree I didn't care for Sandy all that much. When here charater was introduced in Twitterpated I liked her carefree openess but it seems like she found the gospel again it totally changed her to be some zealot. I agree the changes can happen but usually for the better. I loved Jake and the fact they found each other again and I also love his persistance. I just hated how much she made him pay for his own priciples. It does have a HEA but I really had to fight myself to get there and it just wasn't all that relaxing. Oh well better luck next time. I think I will try Unlikely Match and hope for better things.

I've been debating--ebook or softback. I finally broke down today and bought the softback copy of An Unlikely Match and will read it on my trip next week. I can't wait!!!!!

Teryn | 120 comments I feel I am there with you in the reading funk! Aaarrrg! But I guess there is an up side to it as well. I am getting more done. :)

Sharon | 81 comments Just finished An Unlikely Match!!!!! Oh my Heck!!!!!! I laughed I cried there was a HEA. Once again Sarah Eden does not dissapoint! My husband and I are in the process of remodeling our house. I haved worked so hard all week at it and my job I decided since I had the day off work I would just check out of everything and read. I started reading this morning and just finished this book what a great way to spend a rainy day. Instead of reading it again I will have to go through the painful process of editing my own book. Pfffftb. (I read somewhere that was the sound of a raspberry.)

I too want to dito, reading funks! Part of my problem is the fact that if I start to get into the book I get interupted 100 times and then I can't function until I get back to the book and finish it! I also, get discouraged when I haven't read a book I LOVED for a while. In other words, I think it's normal to be up and down especially when I am currently on a Gilmore Girls kick. ;-)

Valerie Waters | 68 comments Weird. I'm in a reading funk too!! That's crazy that so many of us are. Any book ideas would be great!! Deb you can't go wrong with Gilmore girls :)

message 24: by Kristen (new)

Kristen | 388 comments It must be catching! :o) I started a couple books and can't get into them. I just started watching Series 1 of the TV series "Once Upon a Time" and it is really good. I am going to finish that and then start reading again.
