message 251: by Melissa (new)

Melissa I'm finished with Harold Fry, I'm looking for a book to take to work to read on my breaks and slow time. I get to read during slow periods this time of year because it is our slow period but I still have to be there to man the phones.

Can someone pick me one off of my TBR- planned for current month shelf?

Thank you!

Linda C (libladynylindac) How about World War One: History In An Hour ? I know this is the theme for this month and it might be a good book to do in dibs and dabs as time allows.

How was the Harold Fry?

Melissa I was suprised at how much I liked Harold Fry, since I usually like more action in a book but I really got into it and enjoyed it a lot. Harold was an interesting character.

Thanks for the pick. It will work good for a work book, that way I'm not in the middle of a hot/intense theme and the phone ring!

Melissa Here we go again, I actually have read both my work book and my home book so I'm up for another suggestion for what to read next from my tbr-for current month shelf!

Alison G. (agriff22) What about Shadow Kiss? I read the first book of the series earlier this year.

Sara (sarareadsbooks2) Looking for another book to read when I finish North & South. Please pick from my 'To-Read' shelf. Not really picky on what type/genre it's from.

message 258: by Melissa (new)

Melissa You're account is set as private so can't see your "to Read" shelf.

Sara (sarareadsbooks2) Woop a doop, I feel silly now. Thought I had changed that a while ago. ^-^ Should be able to now :)

Linda C (libladynylindac) Sara,
How about Water for Elephants? I enjoyed that. We read it for my F2F group a couple of years ago and everyone liked it.

Sara (sarareadsbooks2) Sounds like a good read to me, thanks!

Linda C (libladynylindac) How about Bright Hopes (Welcome to Tyler, #2)?

This is an oldie to clear from your shelves.

Thanks for the pick!

Stiff The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary Roach - Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers
Cycler (Cycler, #1) by Lauren McLaughlin - Cycler

Lamilla I'm looking for the October theme suggestion. My fav. genres are contemporary fiction, non-fiction, sci-fi, teens, chick-lit and I like manga. You could see the books I liked in my shelves. Preferred languages - English or Russian

Lamilla Thanks, Amara. I'm not really into myths and such, that's why I need help to found something relevant I might like

Lamilla, I noticed that you have Vampire Academy on your to-read shelf. I consider vampires to be part of the "folklore" category.

That sounds great! Come to think of it, I'm reading another teens series, Mortal Instruments, that have not only vampires, but werewolves and Nephilims, which could be counted as mythical characters of sorts, right?..
