Pick It For Me!

Boy this thread sure died out suddenly! I'm going to be house-sitting for a week and the only books I'll have access to are ones on my Kindle. So to spark up some new activity in this thread. Does someone (or multiple people) want to be a 1-2 books on my " kindle-schmindle" shelf. The only request I have is that it please be also on my "to-read" shelf and not my "started-but-abandonded" area.
Thanks, I will try them out. Not overly excited but definitely have been meaning to knock them off my list! :)
Let us know how Pride and Prejudice and Zombies goes. :) I've been thinking about whether or not I really want to read that one, but I've heard there might be a movie coming out next year...? So I might be reading it sooner than I'd expected.
Oh I've already read that one in paperback a few years ago, I'd say it is definitely worth a read. It was one of my favorite spoof novels of its kind and set a very high bar for the others I wanted to read. Most have fallen short in comparison, I would say to read it !
sorry i picked one u didnt want to read. :( my bad! but at least u can get them off your list and if u dont like them u never have to read them again!
Tiffani wrote: "It was one of my favorite spoof novels of its kind and set a very high bar for the others I wanted to read. I'm thinking I'll wait until the movie has a confirmed release date, but I'll definitely be reading it before the adaptation's out.
I need a new book to read, but I have so many on my list that I can't decide what to read... so will you pick a book for me?Please pick from my http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/... shelf and preferably not one of the classics, I've had my fill of those for now.

How about Chasing Fire by Nora Roberts? I gave it a 4. Great background on Fire Jumpers.

ii just finished The Wizard of Oz, so how about that one? I didnt read the complete version like u have, so let me know how it is :)
I will be going into a rehab facility in the next couple days for probably a few months, so I will need a book (or 5) to read. I will be finishing up the one i am reading now and then probably starting on Plum Spooky. I will be taking my copy of "the song of fire and ice series" with me too. But if anyone has any other picks either from my Nook folder or my "other books I own folder" that would be awesome! Thanks
How about Peter Pan from your other books I own folder? I have always wanted to read that one. Thanks! I didn't even know there were so many of the Wizard of Oz books until I saw that on the kindle. I've been looking for a good time to read it!

I brought with me the one that I am finishing, then The Song of Fire and Ice Series (books 1-4). After I get done with those I'll get to some others. The Dogs of Babel is back at my apartment :( Try suggesting something off my nook :)

Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell is my favourite novel and it's on you tbr list. It's a bit long though.
If you want something more "classic", Pride and Prejudice is great.
Can someone pick a book for me from my "to read" shelf? Or if you know any books that relate to that shelf? Thanks!!
Emily wrote: "Can someone pick a book for me from my "to read" shelf? Or if you know any books that relate to that shelf? Thanks!!"How about Birthdays for the Dead? I have it on my TBR list it sounds like a good read and would like to hear what you think once you've read it.

Thanks! It's always so hard to choose the next book to read! I will download it to my kindle in a few days and I will let you know what I think!
Emily wrote: "Can someone choose 3 books for me from my "free kindle books" shelf? Thanks!!"I'd read Your Guardian Angel.

Thanks :)
Since you asked for three, how about
for #2? That's one I might be reading later this year for my Self-Published Authors challenge. (I'll leave 3 for someone else to pick.)
I've still direly trying to find a book that will fit into this months theme and that I actually have access to. I'm having a hard time with it so far. If anyone feels up to a challenge and wants to look through my "tbr-books-i-own" and "tbr-kindle" shelves and help me find one, I'd be pretty happy!

I liked The Mysterious Island by Jules Vernes when I read it. And The Three Musketeers by Dumas were great.

I haven't read it yet, but several people I know really liked The Color Purple. I would start with this one.
Thanks La_mariane!The Color Purple is actually one of my faves! I am in the middle of reading three other books and they're all giving me a case of the hrumphs! So I wanted a book I've already read and like as a distraction for those days when the others become too much work :)

That's another positive vote for this book, I'll add it to my reading list then.

To kill a mockingbird! Loved the book; love the movie.
I have a huge stack of books on my "read these next" stand at home, can someone pick one for me to read. I'm having a hard time choosing which one to next. They are listed on my TBR-Planned for current month shelf.
I'm not very good at getting the links to work but this may be it.... http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/...

I haven't read any of them but I've heard good things about The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry.
