How's that for enlightening?
Welcome RE.
If you've spent any time looking round, you'll know we are mostly a bunch of readers, many of whom also write. For the most part though, we are people who care about one another.
We also spent a lot of our time giggling. :)

It's about an 8000 mile roadtrip in a Vauxhall Astra round Britain and it involves Billie Piper's pyjamas, a Nazi ghost and something very embarrassing that happened to me with a toothbrush. I'm hoping the book is about to be made into a British movie and it made John Cleese laugh.
Come and say hi. I am now off now to eat four digestive biscuits. (More bragging) And I will manage this in JUST EIGHT BITES!

called Tai, today!lol

Hi Philip (Sarah) Our Astra was a mighty beast. I hope you enjoy the book. Do let me know how you get on with it. I;d love to hear
Best

May I recommend that you open a thread in the Meet the Authors section? It gives us chance to discuss your writing and books with you, although some of our authors seem to talk about everything but in theirs.
This thread gets regularly scrubbed, so it's not really the best place to promote your writing.

Im a new author here, and im just starting to get the hang of things, my name is Hammed Al-Tamimi im 27 from Kuwait, my new book is called Divine Innocence ... I hope everyone here is well and happy.
Thanks all

I'm plunging in with both feet here having just uploaded my first book for younger readers - Benjamin Blake and the Curse of Silver and Sunlight. The button on the Kindle version has just been pushed so I cling to 'great hopes'. Beyond that, everything is still a learning curve for me; I've gone from zero to having Twitter and Facebook accounts in the space of a couple of weeks (I can't keep up!) and Good Reads was a surprise find, promising a pool of like-minded people for an enjoyable exchange of ideas/experiences. If you're out there, I look forward to hearing from you.

Pull up a floor and sit down. This is the sort of group from which you get the best if you join in.

As I advised with Ben, open a thread in Meet the Authors so we can all get to know each other much better.

Hi Hammed, I lived in Salmiya for four years......
I was there the year you were born!

Psychic link. I wondered why I suddenly wanted to eat mince pies.

Hey, was that a dragon?

Hey, was that a dragon?"
No. But I'm here now! ;)

I am Robert Carter and I write novels, either set in the past or fantasy, and have had seven published through mainstream publishing. But now I have made the move into indie and have published two more novels this year - Death Valley Scotty and Sheer Purgatory. My big learning curve is social media, but having mastered Twitter (as novelrob) I am widening my vista and looking forward to conversing with like minded individuals ...

Have you opened an author's thread yet? You can use it to post links to your books so we know where to find them.
Hello and welcome Adam!

I am new to the group: foremost a reader, enjoying lots of genres but particularly psychological/contemporary/suspense/crime/literary.
I am also a writer: my debut novel 'Black is the Colour' (link in Meet The Author) has just been released by my agent as an ebook on Amazon. I'm happy to answer any questions about it and hope that some of you might read and review it too!
Thanks for having me,
Helen Howe
