I read the book [Winter:] by Len Dieton about twenty years ago and enjoyed it quite
a lot. An interesting character appeared toward the end of the book. This was Boris Winter, waving a communist flag as the Russians were taking Berlin. Dieton seemed to give some distinction to his character and I was curious whether he appeared in any later books. He was the half brother of the two Winter boys that were the central figures in the story.

If you remember he was killed by the Russians. He was indeed the half brother of Peter and Pauli.
