Maybe we should stop filling up this topic with chatter.... what if someone has a question that gets overlooked?
Guess what? I'm going to try to finish my nanowrimo story! I think that it's the only way that I'll actually finish it...
The Thyme in the King's Castle. I only have excerpts right now... I think the first 6000 words (which have something to do with cat pee...) and then two shouting matches that were quite fun to write. Even though it has some awful swearing, those are the ONLY parts with swearwords. Oh, and 3500 words leading up to, but not directly mentioning, a random person's death. Oh, and a little brainstorming blurb thing that was scribbled down late at night when I was trying to figure out the ending.
Paige aka Tink wrote: "LOL Cat urine? That wasn't random or anything"Oh... didn't anyone tell you? There's a Bibliocat roaming loose around here. Very finicky about his litterature, that one.
Paige aka Tink wrote: "Ohhhhh. Does he live in your dungeon- excuse me, cubical?"Oh no... he just wanders in from time to time from the bookstore (Pirates Chest) in downtown Pickax to check up on the new writers.
I did say that he was a very Litterate cat. didn't I?
Umm... okay, Mimi. Good to know.Catherine, I'm not going to tell you what it can and can't be. This is a Mock NanoWrimo, and each person's is different. The point of the real NanoWrimo is to write a 50,000 word novel in one month. So that's what this is based on.
But again, everyone's is different. You can do whatever you want to achieve your goal.
hee hee hee okay.well, on the last night of the month before you go to sleep, you say, "rabbit, rabbit," and make a wish. then go to sleep. in the morning, when you wake up, you say, "rabbit rabbit," again, and your wish will come true. XD
Oh, cool. Because rabbit's feet are lucky, maybe we should say RABBIT FEET!Catherine, I understand exactly how you feel. I'm worried too, but hopefully, we'll pass through this with flying colors together!
woohoooo!!!i'm sort of half-participating. haha :D that is, i'll try but i probably won't succeed. :/ ah well
Hi all. I was sick yesterday, and missed a LOT, obviously. I'm planning to participate in the write-a-thon. My goal is 100 pages.Good luck everyone :D
I don't know if someone already asked, but how are you going to know who does the most words? Does that mean we have to put it on this group? Can you explain it for me please? I don't really understand it.
LOL BrigidGo Andrea!
Anuhea, the only way we know who did the most is if you post it. We're working on the honesty system here, because we have no idea how much you actually wrote. But if you don't post it, we'll assume you're not participating.
My goal is 20,000 words. I won't be posting them, but I am still making it my official goal.Good luck, everyone!
Hello,Brand new to the group, thought I'd finally post some of my work. Please follow the link in my profile to see what I have posted. It is a piece of a romance, and is meant to be completely over the top in style and histrionics. I was trying to be as flagrantly florishy as I could.
Thanks for looking!
I finally figured out my goal for the Write-A-Thon...it's going to be 30,000 words. It was originally going to be 50,000 words, but I realized that I probably won't make it, and I'll just get stressed, so I lowered it down 20,000 words. yay XD
