I'm starting off this post wiping away tears from the part one season finale of Doctor Who. Leave it to Steven Moffat to make me sob like this right before bed. Of course that's meant to be, seeing as I'm a Doctor Who/Sherlock fanatic and Steven Moffat really knows how to make me feel all the feels!

I was really excited to be invited to this group. I'm not new to writing, but I am new to publishing, and putting my work out there for the masses to read and critique, so I've been somewhat of a mess lately.

My name is Angella Graff. I'm thirty, married to an amazing man, and we have three gorgeous children ages 11, 9, and 5. I work in an Indian restaurant by night, chin-deep in curry, writing by day, along with all of the other parenting/wife stuff I have going on.

We live in the US, Tucson, AZ to be exact, where I've spent most of my life. I've traveled to Europe quite a bit, my father is French so I spent a lot of my childhood there in a little neighborhood just outside of Versailles.

Before I met my husband, I studied here in AZ, and got my degree in theology. I'm not religious, not an Atheist, but by no means Christian, but the history of Christianity is so rich and it dominates my reading time. My bookshelves are divided in half with my husband's Urban Fantasy and Sci-Fi novels, and my theology theory texts.

I'm currently working on an Urban Fantasy series called the Judas Curse, pulling from Greek mythos, Gnostic Christians, The Gospel of Judas, and the writings if Isa in Kashmir, believed to be Jesus of Nazareth. It dips into a little bit of each theology pools to form an intricate world of gods, possessions, intrigue and mystery. The main characters are Judas, the Gospel writer Mark, a hapless Detective Benjamin Stanford who is an avid non-believer, and his sister Abigail, who is obsessed with religious miracles. I plan to publish the books in groups of threes, with a central plot between each trilogy.

The book I've published is a contemporary literary fiction, dealing with a cellist, his rise to stardom in the unlikely field of classical music, and the destructive personal live he has with his emotionally abusive, unfaithful wife. It documents along his journey, how he met a woman he connected with, and learned to live his life for himself instead of someone else.

Anyway, I've probably already made this far too long, so I'll just say I'm excited to meet everyone, and get to know your stories and books, and add to my reading collection!

Diana Hunter (dianahunter) | 14 comments Angella, your books sound intriguing! I, too, find religious history to be a fascinating study. And reading books that draw on those mythos that surround the beliefs are just really cool for all the allusions. :)

Nice to meet you!
