I liked reading "the notebook." I wouldn't say I loved it, but I enjoyed it. My favorite two books by Sparks are "A Walk to Remember" and "Dear John". I also really like "The Wedding" and "Message in a bottle."
You should give him another chance he has some good stories that are worth reading.

PS: Another author I really enjoy who's writing style and material is similar, but not the same as Sparks, is Richard Paul Evans. His Christmas box collection is a beautiful read.
I actually picked up A Walk To Remember before I read the Notebook. I think it was a cancelled library find - fill a bag of books for $5. So I'll give that one a shot, for sure. Thanks for the advice.
I've never heard of Richard Paul Evans, but I'll be sure to check him out.

I love that warm fuzzy feeling at the end of a happy story. I do, however, have an appreciation for the stories that make you stop and think at the end, and sticks with you the way an "unhappy" end does.
Tell me if you loved it! Tell me if you hated it! And PLEASE! Someone please tell me if it's worth giving him another shot! What is his best book?
