I loved this book. I started it the bookstore and was kind if intrested in it so I bought it. I began to read it again a few nights later and could not put it down. I didnt expect to like it so much. It wad a nice surprise
Um read it in five hours without stopping except for the 15 minutes I needed to cry when (view spoiler). LOVE that book. :)
I love the whole trilogy! Especially Catching Fire the second one. My favourite characters are Peeta ,Rue,Katniss,Johanna,Finnick, Beetee,Prim and Katniss! Definitely worth a read! I guarantee you'll love it! Everyone I know who has read it loves it! :) ;)
These books are amazing I don't even know what it is but they just seem to interest me so much. There are so many ways to look at the books, you could look at it romantically or you can look at it the political way. I just love how strong the charecters are and how relatable they are. Anyway this is a terrible comment but yeah I just felt like putting it in...

I liked the first book, but the rest sucked. Plus the movie sucked.

I've got a serious Hunger Games obsession :P I've watched the movie so many times already... I even tried to convince one of my friends that he should get himself a beard like Seneca Crane's :PI honetly love this series, though I refused to read it for a year or maybe longer, because I didn't know what the story was about (the Dutch blurb gave no information at all). But when I finally bought it, I was hooked. I couldn't stop reading :)
And my friends are getting annoyed because I've read the first book five or six times and I still can't stop talking about how awesome it is XD
I agree! It is completely original and unlike anything that I have on my shelves. I had been worried about reading these books because I thought that they would be gory, but they are way milder than I thought.
I though the same, considering all but one contestant dies. It's very lite on the killing scenes.
I think they'll follow the same lines as the first movie. Keeping it clean. So you know what's going on but don't see all the gory details. And don't get me wrong, It wouldn't bother me at all. I love horror movies and gore doesn't bother me. As long as I know it's fake/just a movie. But since its a YA book, I think they should keep the movie that way.
True... I was watching The Hunger Games with my friends at the theater, and one of them screamed at a not that really scary part, and it was really embarrassing.
Well, he was supposed to lose his leg in the FIRST movie. -_- they ignored that and now the logistics for Catching Fire are already messed up. So we'll see how the second half of Catching Fire manages to follow the storyline....
They will change it, they always do. But I think it is one of the better movies made from a book.......But that may also be because that I can't remember all the details. As I read them ages ago or I've just read to many books inbetween!
I agree it's a well done book to movie adaption. I simply was very annoyed about how much they cut out of the cave scene to the point where quite honestly I found the star crossed lovers bit to be hard to swallow. I mean, soooo much got cut from the cave and winning interview that they should have kept.
I know, they always say 'we wanted to keep a fast pace to the movie' But seriously what's the point when they miss vital parts of the story line. Most movies do this, which is extremely frustrating.
If they're following my fav book closely, I don't care if the movie drags into 3, 4 hours. I mean, look at Return of the King! That's a 3.5 hour movie, that had no problem selling in theaters!
