While reading the book the ''The Rose That Grew From Concrete'' by Tupac Shakur. Tupac Shakur's biological name is Tupac Amaru Shakur. He was born in 1971 and passed away in 1996 because of gang related issues. Tupac was a successful individual in the music industry. Although he was a rapper, he wanted to prove to everyone he had more talent than just spitting a few words. He began to write poems. Meaningful poems, that is. Tupac was seen as a tough, amiss person physically. Why? Because he had been shot five times and been in and out of jail for a crime many people believe he didn't commit. Emotionally, Tupac Shakur was a nice person. He had a good heart but some didn't see that and refused to. ''Don't judge a book by it's cover'' or ''Only God Can Judge Me'' is a good title for Tupac. He knew right from wrong and did right but also did wrong like everyone else. The book ''The Rose That Grew From Concrete'' was written by Tupac at age nineteen. It's a poem book but it still has meaning. Tupac's message in this book is basically hope. Have hope. The book has poems that relate to his own life, and has other poems that relate to my life and yours as well. The poems are passionate but sometimes angry. The book has first hand of his poems with scratch outs and corrections, leaving his spellings intact. His goal is basically to let people know about who he is as a person, his spirit and energy are all in this book. Read it and you will realize a lot of things. This book shows sweet Tupac. A Tupac where there is honesty. The poems reveal his true intentions and beliefs such as the Illuminati. The first poem in the book ''The Rose That Grew From Concrete'' is about how Tupac overcame obstacles and strived for his goals. I myself wrote a poem just like that with almost the same title. But in the book other poems like ''Sometimes I cry'' and ''Life Through My Eyes'' show or explain how Tupac struggles or struggled through poverty. In other poems, he talks about love, race, racism, freedom, liberty, goals and much more. This book is good for readers who sometimes feel alone, or simply to read about Tupac Shakur. In the book, Tupac talks about real life issues. Issues that people do not like to admit in the real world. There are many poems for famous people who've passed away like Marilyn Monroe. But, people who really love Tupac or claim to, need to read this book. The poems have his deepest thoughts of life and love. The book talks about society, humanity, and things we people as of today are interested to read about. This book is influential and motivates everyone.
While I was reading the book "Lord of the Flies," one character that really interested me was a boy called Ralph. Ralph is a boy of about 12 and is white in skin color. He has short hair and was one of the first characters to be introduced in the book as he is the main protagonist. He is also very enthusiastic and very persistent. Adding to this, Ralph is level headed and was the first person that the survivors looked up to. Now, Ralph's main goal is to try and get rescued from the island that they crashed on. His main approach to achieving this is to make a fire and keep it going to produce smoke which could be seen by passing boats. The problem is that the ones who were supposed to keep it going, Jack Merridew, another of the survivors, and his hunters, abandoned their work because of their lust for hunting. The moment when everything goes completely wrong and Ralph has to change because of it is when Jack decides to leave the shelters they have set up because his lust for hunting is too great. Jack takes most of the older boys and leaves Ralph with only 4 older boys and the little ones. Ralph then shows his true determination to leave, but also shows how helpless he is without the assistance of others. And then when the unexpected happens, Ralph is lost and wonders he can escape the island to save his sanity and not become a savage.
While reading catching fire there one person that was interesting to me Katniss. Katniss is brave and smart girl. Katniss has white skin, dark brown hair and also tall. Katniss want to stop the people of the capitol but she can’t because they can kill her. So Katniss rebel in the hunger games and they want her dead.Katniss change when the president snows come and have a talk with her and now she has to be cautious of what she does. Now that there watching her lot she has to be careful of what she’s doing, she has to do this alone so none of her friends family can get hurt.
While i was reading "Lord Of The Flies" one character that really interested me was Piggy. Piggy is about 12 as a weight problem, poor eyesight and asthma. He is the most physical vulnerable out of all the boys but always quoting his aunt, so he was only the female voice they had. He was very quite and had was Ralph's second hand man. He was also picked on because he was the weakest out of all of them because they thought he wasn't fit to lead anyone. He couldn't swim that fast or even run for a long period of time because he was so out of shape and his asthma. They are trying to signal help to get out off that island, but every time they do they people that are suppose to watch it leave because of their love for hunting. The moment that every thing goes completely wrong is when jacks tribe attacks Ralph's group saying they want the conch but really want Piggies glasses to start a fire. Jack takes most of the older boys and leaves ralph with only 4 older boys and the little ones. Piggy then shows his intelligence approach to life is modelled on the attitudes and rules of the adult world.
While I was reading "Harry Potter ans the Chamber of Secrets" one character who really interested me was Ronald Weasley. He is a pure blooded wizard, but to many in the wizard world think that his family is a disgrace to the wizard community. He has red hair and freckles, these are the tow things that people see in him and automatically know that he is a Weasley. Ron is afraid of almost everything there is. His greatest fear is the fear of spiders, which is clearly stated in the story. In the beginning, the author of the Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling, made it clear that Ron wasn't always the bravest or the strongest. He was the one to be picked on, and he wasn't the brightest either. Even though Rowling didn't state it directly in the story, I believe that Ron's main goal was to help his friend, Harry, defeat The evil Lord Voldemort. Of course the only thing standing between him and his destiny was his fear. The moment where i believe that Ron really got over his fear was when him and Harry went into the forest after they were suppose to be in bed. In this part of the story Ron and Harry face an old friend of Hagrids, a huge spider. Ron was frightened of the fact that they had to meet this spider in order to get the answers that they needed. What happened was that Harry had to make sure that he and Ron don't anger the spider. Harry asked about the Chamber of secrets and after the spider answered, The spider then ordered all of the other large spiders to attack. Ron was smart enough to notice. He grabbed his friends hand and ran out of the cave. They fought off the spiders together. After this scene you could see the change in Ron as the rest of the story unfolded.
While I was reading the book "Out of my Mind" one character that was interesting to me was Melody.Melody was the only character in the book who was different. She has mental disabilities that enable her to stand out.So the first word that comes to people's head when they see her is weird. She's the one girl in class with a wheelchair and can't speak. She goes through the taunt of her classmates everyday and wish she could have a chance to show how smart and fun she is.No one really knows how smart Melody is.Finally Melody does have a chance. She receives a device that says anything she types in.Melody takes advantage of her new device by acing the quiz. This quiz was the quiz that made her on the quiz team. But as things were getting better she was ditched by her teammates when going to Washington D.C. But Melody was bold enough to confront her teammates and put everything aside.Melody shows that a person with disabilities can be smart and satisfied too.
In the book "Obsessed" by Susan Anderson the main character Ivy Pennington really stood out to me. She is descrided as a very tall girl. About 6 ft tall. She, just like most of her family, is red-headed and pale. It is very easy to tell when she is lying because her blush is huge give-away. Also, Ivy is a doctor. She has always focused on saving people's lives ever since her parents had died from a car accident that she miraculously survived. Now she has moved into a apartment and from the first day she was there she didn't get along with her neighbor Vincent D'ambruzzi. He made some very powerful accusations towards her and her cousins but he didn't really know any of them. Down the road she founds out he's a cop in charge of case where a rapists seeks out his prey only on full moons. That's when he carves a heart into the chest of the woman he finds. Ivy changes when she becomes the new target on the rapists' list. He is convinced that she is reason the vocie that sends him to do all of the bad things he does on full moons, has silenced. She has changed from strong-willed, focused, and self confident to scared, dependant, and helpless.
From the book 'Dragon Breath,' I chose the character Danny. He's a real dragon. Through out the book people don't believe he is a real dragon. It was alot of talk about it, but when they showed the story of when he breathed real fire, he became one of the coolest characters to me. He had special traits. For one Danny is lazy, a ninja head. In the 2nd volume he becomes more serious. One of his friends were in danger so he risked his life to help. After going to japan to help find the source of the ninja invasion he gets knowledge from his grandfather. After they solve the problem they go home to live out their days as NORMAL kids. Danny continues to show concernment for his friends in danger.
From the book "Mockingjay", i have decided to choose the character Katniss Everdeen. Katniss is a very independent person. She never really gets attached to people and if so very few. Katniss is now in District 13 and is asked to become the Mockingjay, the symbol of the rebellion. She wants to but is afraid for the well being of the other tributes who were captured by the Capitol in the arena. She is afraid that the Capitol might do bad things to them if she agrees to do this.A moment in the book the character changes is when Katniss agrees to be the Mockingjay. I find this meaningful because she just found out that Peeta is alive but is pretty sure that he is forced to be on the Capitol's side. She tells the President of District 13 that she will agree to be the symbol of rebellion. However, she demands forgiveness of the other tributes IF they are on the Capitol's lives. She also requires that their lives are spared if they are still alive. I think this is significant because she decided to do what was right and take care of what she believed was important to her. Katniss is changed by this event because she learns to take full reponsibility by becoming the Mockingjay and increases the spirits of those who are on the side of the rebels.
From the book A Child Called it the character is a abused boy named Dave. Dave is a young strong fighting boy.One way that he shows it is the way that he deals with his mothers non sense. Every time his mom hits him Dave finds the courage to ignore it and still loved his mom.The time that Dave changes in the story is in the police office.while Dave was in the station he was frighten but felt free. But all of these emotion quickly turn to sorrow when he thought about all the good good moments he had with his mom. He thought about the time when his farther was around and how happy that his family was. This shows change in Dave because instead of trying to run from his like what he was doing in the start he was slowing holding on to her now.
From the book To Kill a Mockingbird the charter Jem is like any other boy he doesn't give up on a dare he does it no matter what. He thinks about playing foot ball mostly everyday. Jem Always Protects his younger sister Scout. The time that Jem changes is when he learned about about racism with his little sister scout. he learns that he should stop juding people about what he hears about them, that he will only judge a person after knowing everything they've gone through.
From the book " When It Happens" the character is Sara. A normal girl in her senior year. She is a normal girl that likes to act pretty. She is also smart herself. But when boys come to her mind she gets all crazy and her world comes upside down. She cant decide between the popular guy in school or the guy that truly has feelings for her. But she puts aside everything and focuses on her main goal which is to get into a good college. Also find her "true love".A momment where she changes was when she thought it was because of her sense of style nobody like her. So she dressed liked the other wannabe populars. When in reality she just wanted to dress normally in her rock outfits. Up to this momment she realises that she doesnt need to change for who or what she is for someone to love her. Which she then leaves her so called boyfriend and spends the rest of the year with Tobey. the "love of her life".
From the book "If I grow up" the main character is named Deshawn. This book is about Deshawn who has to make difficult decisions. The decisions is education or being in a gang. He chosen to be in a gang. Where his life can be detained for life in a state correction facility. Starting from his early life and how life was in his neighborhood influenced him to be in the position of making decisions between his life and death. There was no change for Deshawn. Honestly, I dont blame him. The environment he lives in gave him no option but to be in a gang. Fredrick Douglass projects only portrayed negativity and for a young person growing up in that environment is most likely to produce it. He had so much potential he would have made progress Deshawn was the one to show a difference but did the exact opposite. Falling into a death sentence for the rest of his life in a correction facility.
In the book called "The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles" by Julie Andrews Edwards there's a character named Lindy. She is only seven years old, she is very enthusiastic joyful and childish. She's short and small and likes to suck her thumb.A misterious man tells her a bout a strange creature, she has a strong beleife that the creatur is real but her brothers doubt her.Lindy her brothers and the professor finally reach the Whangdoodle land and see the creature but a mean old ememy of the professor tries to take over and destroy the land. In order to save the whangdoodle they must learn to see things in a different way,They must learn to beleive in their imaginations and Lindy is the main one who can help. She learns to beleive in her dreams and imaginations even when people doubt you.
In the book that I read, The Hunger Games, I have chosen Katniss Everdeen. She very tall and skinny and very pale. She's physically very strong and very nice and sweet emotionally, if you don't take it to another level. So in the book, as some people know, she try to hunt down animals for food for her family. She gets chosen for the Hunger Games. When she gets into the arena, what she tying to accomplish is to survive through the Hunger games along with Peeta. But what's getting in their way are the career tributes. These tributes are very strong and skilled in fighting in the arena and both Peeta and Katniss aren't even skilled or at their level of being strong. There district is mining and it's very slim for them to survive. So after they survived a couple of days later, they finally meet up, having Peeta almost hurt and injured. Katniss helped him with food and his health. Peeta has this huge crush on Katniss and when they were together at that point, they starting falling for each. So they were a couple. In one scene, she stops Peeta from stop talking by kissing him for the first time. This lead to them meeting each other and knowing each other and to make Peeta shut up on how he would die. After that moment, they were mostly together most of the time in the arena and they wouldn't leave each other no matter what and they've been more careful about how they try to kill other tributes or find food. At that point, they kept kissing and doing other stuff. They've became couple of district 12.
