Posting reviews to your blog?

Does anyone (readers or writers) have any views as to whether it's legitimate and/or helpful to post new Amazon reviews on your author blogs/twitter/facebook pages etc?

There are all sorts of aspects to this but I don't want to influence the feedback :o)

I know of authors in this group - some on the Blog Ring, who copy reviews to their blogs. As a reader I'm happy to see them there. If someone says you're good you want others to know. I'm not daft enough to think that these are the only reviews and if I'm interested in the book I'll look at the whole gamut on Amazon.
I can only give a personal view but your blog is your advertising space and in my opinion, if you've got it, flaunt it!

Legitimate? Yes. I usually post the reviews' permalinks rather than the whole text, but that's just me.

Hmmm...

Reader/occasional reviewer and only my point of view, of course.

I'm quite happy if an author would like to repost a portion of my review, including the link to it, if they care to.

I reckon once I've posted it, it becomes public domain, doesn't it?

I agree Patti. As long as bits aren't taken out of context, I'm ok with it.
