Nelson | 12 comments A few people have asked me what was my favorite book to write, and I think it was The Gold Coast. This book is different from most of my novels and a real change of pace from the action/adventure that I usually write. And yet, it was one of my top selling books and continues to sell well, maybe because it's a timeless story of love, treachery, betrayal, and money.

Nelson | 12 comments Thank you for all your good questions. Sorry if I didn't answer yours specifically, but with the release of The Panther a few days ago I am in the midst of an extensive and sometimes exhausting publicity tour. I've been on the radio most of today. But I can be reached via my website email at www.nelsondemille.net, and you can follow me on Twitter and like me on Facebook. Also you can subscribe to my website Newsletter. Thanks again. Hope you enjoy The Panther.

Aaron Eckhart would be a great choice if he can become flippant like Corey. Yes a series for Corey would be great!

I think this was a great short, I listened to it via Scott Brick as the official voice of John Corey who manages to put all of that Corey humor into his great narration of this almost real character. Its a great way to whet your whistle before or after "The Panther"

My father was in the British Military and we lived in Moscow in the early 80's.(Not James Bond but awful close!) Both he, my sisters and I read The Charm School and all said the same thing, you hit the nail on the head! Maybe it is one of my favorites because I can identify with some of it???

Ann | 1 comments A television series of the John Corey books would be great and I sincerely hope it would be on cable because I would hate to see the network censors make mincemeat of your dialog.

Debbie (dhaupt) | 2 comments Mr. DeMille, thanks so much for spending some time with us here.
Very exciting

message 108: by Malcolm (new)

Malcolm (mgmead) Just wanted to come in weeks later and say that Nelson DeMille is a fabulous guilty pleasure -- because you write in a space that's all about self-indulgent reading (spies, conflict, heros and anti-heroes) but unlike too many other writers, you write well!

Thank you for taking an eloquent voice and sarcastic point of view and applying it for the purposes of entertainment ... I wish I'd made the actual event -- I doubt this will ever even be read ... but I'm gonna say it into the webosphere anyway! Great all around writer and story-teller ... you're on my list of "get the new book when it appears" authors. Thanks!

message 109: by Kathy (new)

Kathy | 3 comments I agree with you completely. Every time I finish one of Nelson DeMille's books, I can't wait for the next one. I've read all of them and sometimes twice. He is and will always remain my favorite author!

piyush (Simplereader) | 3 comments very well written indeed Malcom....

your thoughts reflected and duplicated here...

message 111: by Vincent (new)

Vincent Graziano | 1 comments Mr. Demille - I am looking forward to the Book Club event in Collingswood at the end of November. It is my first. I am a huge fan of your work and that of Michael Smerconish as well. I read plenty of fiction but you write the best endings by far than any author I read. I compare your books to my favorite Springsteen song, Thunder Road. That song, like your books, picks up in intensity as it goes and ends such a forceful crescendo.

message 112: by Shannon (new)

Shannon | 1 comments Blessings Mr. DeMille -
The first book of yours I read was Nightfall which is #3 of the John Corey series. Enjoyed Plum Island. Just started The Lion and confused of the timing. John Corey is referencing on the first scene in the book about being prepared for everything since 9/11. Is the format more Sherlock Holmes memoirs where they are not necessarily in chronological order.

Thank you for your time.

message 113: by Rosemarie (new)

Rosemarie | 2 comments I am delighted that less than 1/2 hour ago I got a chance to meet Nelson, at the signing of his new book, The Quest! I have less than 15 pgs. left to read on my current book and guess what book is next?!

message 114: by Scout (new)

Scout (goodreadscomscout) I checked out Radiant Angel at the library. A week later A Quiet End came in, so I checked it out. They are the same book - both in English, just different titles. One was published in the UK. My Carnegie library, with limited resources, purchased both books, thinking they were different. I've never run across this, and it seems like a marketing ploy to me. If both are in English, why the different titles?

Kathy | 3 comments Quiet End was the England title and Radiant Angel was the American title. Don't know why they had different titles, though.

message 117: by Connor (new)

Connor Farrell (connorfarrell) Hi Nelson! I am a HUGE fan of your books! Please read the raving review I left you when I read your book The Charm School. Best book ever! My question is: Where did you ever come up with an idea of a secret school teaching people to be Americans?! I love it! PLEASE respond!
