Jocelyn Soriano (jocelynsoriano) | 8 comments 366 Days of Compassion One Year Devotional by Jocelyn Soriano
366 Days of Compassion: One Year Devotional

FREE Today at Amazon... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074Z5ZK4M

I would really appreciate your feedback/reviews.

366 Days of Compassion is a one year daily devotional with original reflections, poems, prayers and motivational quotes on God's compassion for all of us. Each day's reflection is related to a Bible verse/scripture, resonating with inspiration, especially for those who are undergoing difficult times. It is for those who grieve, those who are losing hope, those who have lost their loved ones or their dreams, those who feel all alone, those whose hearts are broken, those who are judged and feel condemned.

It is full of messages of healing, wisdom, courage and faith. It is like a close friend in whom you can find comfort and consolation just when it is darkest and most painful in your life. God's grace is ever new and abounding, His mercy is infinite and His love is true. We need to be reminded of these things everyday so as not to lose the spiritual battle going on in the midst of us. Those who are tired can find refreshment, those who are troubled can find peace, those who are hurting can find forgiveness that sets them free.

Whether early in the morning or late in the evening, or any hour in between, one can read a simple quote like a breath of fresh air in one's busy day. One can silently say a prayer and meditate upon the beauty of Him whose face is happiness itself. One can take a peek at a poem and find in it something like a mirror reflecting the cries of the heart both in sorrow and in deep joy.

Where is God? God is with us, but we often do not know where to look and so we do not see. God is there, pursuing us, waiting for us to take the time to call on Him in our helplessness, in the routine of our daily lives. He is the one who will fill our lives with meaning and our hearts with hope. In Him we find the home we've been searching for, we find a Father who will protect us and provide for our needs. We find a Friend who loves us as we are, who sees the beauty in our souls, who will never leave us even in our worst day.

The deepest wounds of the soul are healed only by compassion... People do not merely need to be clothed, they need to be embraced with love. A love that enters into their own fears and frailty, a love that suffers with them and stays with them through their darkest hour.

Jocelyn Soriano (jocelynsoriano) | 8 comments I'm so glad my first book for children is now available for pre-order at Amazon. I'd be happy to give an advanced copy to those who'd want to have it reviewed. Please DM me for details.
The Good For Nothing Boy by Jocelyn Soriano
The Good For Nothing Boy

There was once a boy who was said to be good for nothing. No matter how hard he tried, it seemed as though he was certainly good for nothing at all. To add to this sad plight, the bullies teased him even more for two things: first, that he had no name; and second, that he had no father. Not that he still had a mother, for she has vanished a long time ago. But at least, it can be said, that he had some memories of her.

One day, this little boy takes off in an adventure of a lifetime that would help him discover the truth about himself and the world around him. Together with his firefly friend, they would travel into magical places, meet extraordinary creatures and learn priceless lessons along the way. Will he be able to discover his name? Will he finally realize his true worth?

Gillie Kerr (gilliekerr) | 2 comments Willow and the Fairy Glen

Willow and the Fairy Glen is free to download tomorrow (Friday 21st June) from Amazon, and I would appreciate some reviews.

A middle grade fairy fantasy story, set in 1980's Scotland: Willow Mackenzie did not want to go away for the Summer to stay with a cranky, old Grandfather she didn’t remember, to a place she had never seen. A croft in the remote Scottish Highlands, full of sheep and mystery.
All she really wanted was a friend. To fit in. To feel normal. Not to be ‘Weird Willow’.
She never expected that when she did at last meet a friend, she would be magically transported into a hidden world of Fairies and magic. And her new friend would be a tiny, purple Fairy called Violet.
What sort of adventures would they share? And just what dangers lay in store?

My second book/novella, Cyndi and the Fairy Glen, is also available for free on B&N, Smashwords, Amazon.

Heidi Hanley | 12 comments https://www.amazon.com/Prophecy-Kingd...

The Prophecy is mythic fantasy with strong romantic subplot. It follows the journey of Briana Brennan, from modern day Maine, through a magical tree to the mythic kingdom of Uisneach (oosh-nay) where she learns she is meant to fulfill a prophecy which includes saving a cursed king and becoming his queen. The glitch- along the way she meets the Royal Bard and the connection they have, rooted in eternity, must be held in check to serve a greater cause. Shapeshifters, druids, witches, dryads and an Irish wolfhound all contribute to her aid and in teaching her life lessons as they journey to the castle Ard Darach to save the beloved king. This book is also up for nomination on the Epic Fantasty Fanatics Readers award. Links to that on my website. Hope you read this and hope you enjoy. I would welcome honest reviews.

Leslie Garland | 417 comments The White Hart (The Red Grouse Tales) by Leslie W.P. Garland Coming on 8th & 9th July – FREE, yes FREE from Amazon; " The White Hart – a happy ghost story if there can be such a thing” (A Red Grouse Tale) .....

“Super story, such fun. Unusual, amusing and uplifting.” Amazon Customer.

“Ghosts and ghost stories fascinate me and this story is a delight. In many ways it is about redemption and understanding, for both the ghost as well as the man who sees her. The quote by St. Thomas Aquinas referenced in the beginning of the story, makes a wonderful anchor for the plot. “Not everyone who is enlightened by an angel knows that he is enlightened by him.”” D.A.Henneman (Author)

“A feel good ghost story which isn't designed to spook or discomfort.” Phil Leader (Reviewer)

….. and so could make a nice little summer holiday read?

Like all authors on Goodreads, I need reviews please - on Amazon, Goodreads, Bookbub, your blog, your friend’s blog - the more the merrier! All will be much appreciated.

Hope you enjoy " The White Hart "

I would be happy to provide some gift copies of my poetry collection (shown below) if a few people would be interesting in writing reviews. If anyone is interested, please message me or email bcrpoetry@gmail.com. Amazon only requires a valid email address to send an ebook as a gift. (Note that it would be in the ebook file format that Amazon uses; I unfortunately can't control that.)

You don't need to leave a 5-star review just because it's free. If you don't like it, you don't like it. You can even email me privately and tell me up front that it's just plain not good enough to warrant a review, if you honestly feel that way after reading some of it.

The Treasure Hunters (Treasure Hunters, #1) by Warren Dean

WARNING: MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF SCIENCE FICTION...

A lost treasure more valuable than any ever found.

Spanish conquistadors had heard tales of it when exploring the New World. Native South American tribes told of it in their legends; cautioning about the ancient perils which anyone finding it would unleash.

During World War 2, Nazi-inspired archaeologists were convinced they had pinpointed its location. And yet the treasure had never been discovered - not by anyone who had lived to tell the tale.

It was as if someone, or something, was protecting it...

J.D. Brink | 46 comments Hi!

I joined the group long ago but don't get around to GR/social media that often. (All work and no play makes Jack a crazed axe murder and all that.)

But I'm actively seeking reviewers for my books as I work hard at churning more out. The trouble is that giving away books is super easy. Everyone will take a free book. The hard part is getting reviews! I hope if you contact me and get your free download that you'll help me out. I certainly can't "require" a review, but that's kind of the spirit of the thing, you know? Even if you didn't like the book! I'd rather have a bad or lukewarm review than none at all.

(But honestly, I don't get many of those. Most people tend to like my work.)

I write in a wide variety of spec fic. I'm actually trying to narrow my focus now so I can get more series completed.

Feel free to browse my wares and send me a message if you're interested. Here's a few samples:

Superheroes and zombies for grownups:
Hungry Gods

A different take on the coming of age sword quest:
Tarnish

Urban fantasy meets crime-noir meets Asian myth. Kinda Big Trouble in Little China with smugglers:
One-Eyed Jacks

13 short stories of SFF and more:
Green-Eyed Monster: An Anthology of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and More

rookie superheroes vs snake cult:
Masks

And much more. I can get you a Bookfunnel download if you're interested. Please email/PM me.

Thanks!
