Mike Markel (mikemarkel) | 2 comments Three-Ways, the fourth installment in the Detectives Seagate and Miner Mystery series, is now available on Amazon. For the first five people who reply and are willing to post a review, I'd be happy to send you a free copy (mobi or ePub). Let me know, please. Thanks.

http://amzn.to/1jnVt6o

When grad student Austin Sulenka is found strangled, nude on his bed, the first question for Detectives Seagate and Miner is whether it was an auto-asphyxiation episode gone wrong. Evidence strewn around his small apartment suggests that he spent his last night with a number of different women. One was Tiffany, a former student who still resented the injustice of getting a C in the course when he promised her a B if she slept with him. Another was Austin’s beautiful girlfriend, May, who had never before encountered a man she could not totally beguile. Then there was his thesis adviser, Suzannah Montgomery, who might have inadvertently revealed to Austin some information about her past that could ruin her own career. These three women and their other partners had plenty of reasons to kill the philandering graduate student. As Detective Karen Seagate and her partner try to unravel the complicated couplings, she finds herself in a three-way relationship that threatens to destroy her own fragile sobriety.

Austin Dragon (adragon) | 2 comments Hello Everyone,

I'm looking for reviewers for my After Eden sci-fi and international thriller series. It includes Thy Kingdom Fall, Stars and Scorpions, and the latest Rising Leviathan.

Blurb of the latest: Rising Leviathan is the latest sci-fi thriller in the After Eden series—a dramatic mix of politics, religion, and intrigue. The saga continues in the Russian Bloc (Yes, Russia “owns” Eastern Europe too) in the year 2096 with the inexplicable death of the Russian president. Or was it murder? As one leader falls, a deadly power rises. Will there be war or more than one? The march to the explosion of World War III continues— the first global war of the Tek Age, a hell we have never seen before.

If interested, please contact me at email@afteredenbooks.com

Hey you guys! I've got a VERY easy request for you. :) Actually, you might even find this review request not only easy, but enjoyable.

In addition to my YA trilogy and MG mysery series, I have put together a digital photography book. NOT an instructional book, but purely one for your visual enjoyment, supplemented with some inspirational quotes and brief descriptions of the images.

I have essentially made this partner ebook to my 8x10 paperback as a sort of preview, as the paperback version obviously has a much better layout due to the ebook limitations. The paperback makes a very nice coffee table book. :)

So take a look at the ebook for FREE today and tomorrow; 5/23-5/24 and let me know what you think! Better yet, share what you think on amazon and here on Goodreads. :)

Elaenorh combines classic high fantasy and hard science fiction.
The Tuatha Dé Danann and the sídhe of Irish history and mythology are important to the story. Elaenorh also features a strong female protagonist. Part of the story is set in 1169, part is set today, and the final part is set 50 years in the future.

Send me a message with your email and I'll get it out to you.

Trevor Zaple (trevor_zaple) | 13 comments Hey folks. As you may have guessed I'm looking for people who would like a free copy of a book in exchange for a few honest sentences about it. It's a post-apocalyptic novel set in Toronto that follows the travails of the survivors of an inexplicable mass disappearance.

Disappearance by Trevor James Zaple

Some of you may have read Tom Perrotta's Left Behind. I haven't, in fact I hadn't even heard of it before seeing that they were making a television series out of it, but from what I understand the premise is vaguely similar. So if you liked it, you'll probably like this book as well.

To further belabour this point: if you enjoy the works of Stephen King or J.G. Ballard, you'll probably like this as well. Take a chance! It's free after all, except for a few sentences of your time. Message me here or at TrevorZaple(at)gmail.com and I'll send you a free copy.

Will send PDF copy of my short novella, The Ghost in the Closet, for a review. Or, I can also arrange a freebie at Smashwords if you prefer that route.

Blurb: Over the years, Dumdie Swartz has developed many weird habits to hide the fact she sees ghosts. When her boss fired her because he thought her trances were mini-strokes, Dumdie becomes homeless, just another old lady living in her car.

Being homeless isn’t Dumdie’s biggest problem. She discovers the ghost of the previous owner haunts her room at a private shelter, a ghost with a problem of her own. Her will is lost, and the shelter’s existence is threatened. Dumdie must conquer her fear of upsetting people if she's to find the will and save the shelter.

Heather Hill (hell4heather) I am a first time author about to release a new kind of comedy ebook to Amazon on 4th July 2014. Be advised: This is not fluffy or romantic reading. It is an entirely different kind of novel; a hilarious romp which takes the reader on a whacky adventure, whilst also exploring some difficult, generally unspoken about subjects.

I'd like to offer a free review copy in exchange for HONEST reviews only. Please email hell4heather@gmail.com. You can also find me on Twitter @hell4heather. THANK YOU :)

After Shirley Valentine, after The First Wives Club and hot on the naked heels of Calendar Girls... there was The New Mrs D!

OUT ON 4TH JULY 2014!

Four days into their honeymoon in Greece, Bernice and David Dando have yet to consummate their marriage and after having accepted his almost non-existent desire for sex throughout the relationship, Bernice finally discovers the reason… he is addicted to porn. Learning that the love of her life chooses the cheap thrill of fantasy over her is devastating but then, ‘every man does it; it’s just looking, right?’. If she leaves the relationship because of virtual adultery, will she be labelled as pathological, overreacting, or even worse, frigid?

When funny, feisty, forty-something Bernice plans the adventure trip of a lifetime, she doesn’t expect to be spending it alone. But as it turns out, contributing to a Greek fish explosion, naked karaoke and misadventures with volcanoes are exactly what she needs to stop fretting about errant husbands and really start living. But when Mr D tries to win her back, Bernice has a decision to make: is this a holiday from her humdrum life, or the start of a whole new adventure?

The New Mrs D is a refreshing, sharp-witted and empowering romp that 'reflects real life, delves into unspoken about subjects and slaps the reader in the face with honesty.' - Fleur Ferris, Author

It is a story about one woman's midlife awakening... on her honeymoon alone.

''The perfect setting for a hilarious update to Eat Pray Love.' - Tara Gladden, Editor

Mark Williams (emawms08mark) | 7 comments My erotic romance novel, London Underground (The Trip), was released on 5-18-2014 and is 34 pages in length. Please consider London Underground for review.

Blurb: Author Jonathan Haze lived in a friendly New York city for 14 years. He does not want to go to the London Book Fair but a little voice inside told him there was an exciting world out there, and he had to go out and find it!
In its simplest form, London Underground, is an erotica romance, sex/testosterone gone haywire, an established author attempting to greater his career―to disappear into a sex dungeon after being carefully selected by strippers.

Mustafa Oktem | 15 comments WAR, SUFFERING AND THE HEALING POWER OF LOVE:

My novel, The Lion of Kabul, is free today (Sunday 22nd of June) and can be downloaded from the link below (would love some reviews):

http://www.amazon.com/kindle-store/dp...

“There are things in life I've learned I cannot change: I am an orphan. I grew up in poverty, poverty of the most wretched kind. I shall never forget the fear, the deprivation, the sense of hopelessness. At a young age, I witnessed the horrors of this world; etched in my memory are gruesome, macabre images, images that I cannot erase. For as long as I live, they will always be there—that I know.” These are the words of Ali Iqbal, orphaned at age five, forced to flee his homeland at age nine, abandoned by his foster parents at age eleven. Now happily married and living in America, one night he receives a phone call that throws his world into utter disarray. He must go back to the place of his childhood, to rescue his friend Ahmet—a friend he owes his life to.

The hero of this novel, Ali Iqbal, is scarred by the traumatic events of his past and his heart is full of hate. But he is special: with an intelligence second to none, a talent (painting) that helps him cope with his sorrow and anger, and an ironclad heart that gives him the strength to endure and persevere, he travels from Afghanistan to Turkey and then to America.

This novel is the story of Ali's transformation. It carries with it a very important message that will resonate meaningfully given the times that we live in: that the Eastern world and Western world can co-exist peacefully; that the cultural, historical and political barriers that separate us are not insurmountable, because it is the humanity within us that makes us who we are.

Simon Watts (Plaguejack) | 1 comments I am looking for honest reviews of my novel, SINS OF A SOVEREIGNTY. A fair warning, SoaS is a Dark fantasy novel, and I really do mean DARK. If disturbing themes trouble you I suggest you look elsewhere.

Ten years ago a terrifying superweapon left one of Amernia’s most illustrious cities permanently shrouded in poison fog. Over the past decade three great evils have haunted the Amernian people. First is the elusive Blood Queen, who holds Amernia in an iron grip. Second, are the entombed old gods, who speak only to a chosen few. Third is the nation's scar, a seemingly endless expanse of green miasma that has claimed the north. The rift between rich and poor, human and nonhuman, divides the kingdom more everyday. Foreign nations circle like vultures hungry for a feast, as a spectral rider streaks across the sky, heralding the death of kings. Legendary veteran of two wars, Sir Clark Pendragon, is sent north to quell the rising chaos. New alliances will be forged and broken as a Wild War threatens to tear Amernia asunder.

Angie West (angiewest) | 16 comments Hi, guys! Well, I'm looking for beta readers right now, so I hope it's okay to post under this thread. I'd be eternally grateful (or at least really appreciative), if any of you would give my fantasy novel, Shadow Borne, a peek. It's the third (not yet published) book in my Shadows series. In return, I'm offering the first 2 Shadow books, free. Send me an email at awest2011@live.com if you're game, and let me know what format you need. (epub, mobi, pdf)

*The series is written in first person and I've tried to write them so they don't *have* to be read together/in order. Here's the blurb for Shadow Borne:

Once upon a time, in a faraway land called Terlain...

A beautiful nymph-turned-warrior had a terrible choice to make.

Two years ago, Aries fell in love with her best friend Claire's brother, and soon after, he left her in the dust. Now he's back. But in a world that's been turned upside down, and for a girl whose heart has turned to stone, is there any place left for happily ever after? On the eve of the final showdown in a brutal world war, Aries will face her deepest fears and insecurities to be victorious-or die trying.

Linda Jenkinson (linjen) | 27 comments My first book, The Heart Is a Pool will be free to download this week-end (Fri, Sat, Sunday) starting at 8 a.m. Pacific Central Time Today.
The Heart is a Pool is a short Kindle read of 31 poems on loving. It chronicles the loving feelings I have had from young love, to lost love, for my children ("Lullaby for Nicki" "where Are You Now?"), my partner ("My Mentor" "You Are the Life of My Love"), and my friends ("Jaden","The Fairest Flower"). Two of the poems, "Boone" and "Seashell" were written when I was in high-school. Most of the others were written between 1997 and the present.

I would be thrilled to see your honest review of my book either here at Good Reads or at Amazon.com.

The Title Poem:

The heart is a pool not a pie.
Love is a spring that flows inside
And fills the heart ‘til it overflows.
You give love away and your heart grows
Stronger and wider
And the spring runs deep
When you give love away
You have more to keep
The heart is a pool not a pie
Love is the spring that never runs dry.

Abby (abbyquillen) | 6 comments New Mystery Available For Review

The Garden of Dead Dreams by Abby Quillen

The Garden of Dead Dreams by Abby Quillen
Publisher: Sidewalk Press
Published: June 2014
Formats available for review: .epub, .mobi, or pdf

Description:

A spellbinding mystery about the price we pay for keeping secrets for fans of literary whodunits like Marisha Pessl’s Night Film, Carol Goodman’s mysteries, and David Guterson’s Snow Falling on Cedars. The Garden of Dead Dreams explores whether it’s possible to remake our lives when no one can erase the past.

Vincent Buchanan was one of America’s most cherished authors. His 1943 novel The Western Defense is not only considered a work of literary genius; it may have helped the United States triumph against Japan in the Second World War.

Nearly seventy years after its release, twenty-eight-year-old Etta Lawrence is a student at the prestigious creative writing academy the late Buchanan founded in a majestic lodge tucked beneath Oregon’s fog-laced Douglas firs and Western red cedars. She’s intent on rewriting her life by winning the coveted Buchanan Prize, a ticket to literary stardom.

Then a handsome visiting poet arrives at the academy, and Etta’s bubbly roommate Olivia latches onto him and begins acting distant, disturbed, and hysterical. Etta peeks through her roommate’s belongings and stumbles onto a revelation about Buchanan’s personal life that could change the way people think about the famous author.

Etta's convinced the discovery may be connected to the poet's arrival and Olivia's troubling behavior. She enlists two of her smart, quirky classmates to help her investigate. They find clues in the scenes of one of Buchanan’s short stories, the academy’s dusty administration files, and a dilapidated pioneer cemetery on the school grounds.

But as Etta twists through the murky forest of Buchanan’s past, she has more to lose than just her chances of starting over. Someone at the isolated academy is deadly serious about keeping Buchanan’s personal history private.

Kyoko M. (kyokominamino) | 31 comments Good morning! I've got an urban fantasy novel, the second in my series, up for advanced review. It's coming out July 22, 2014, and I am also happy to provide copies of the other two books in the series for free as well.

She Who Fights Monsters
She Who Fights Monsters (The Black Parade, #2) by Kyoko M.

Michael O'Brien. 25. New Yorker. Lead guitarist. Commander of Heaven's Army.

Jordan Amador. 23. New Yorker. Waitress. Investigator for souls with unfinished business, also known as a Seer.

The dynamic supernatural duo is in the middle of trying to solve a deadly case. Someone is methodically hunting down and murdering Seers one by one. After six months with no leads on the killer, Jordan and Michael are forced to work with their worst enemy—the archdemon Belial: a self-professed Prince of Hell who is dead set on stealing Jordan for himself. However, with the archdemon’s help, they pick up on the trail of the serial killer and plan to stop him no matter what the cost.

When the shocking truth behind the murderer’s identity is revealed, Jordan begins asking herself if she is still fighting for the good guys or has she become one of the monsters she is desperately trying to stop?

So far, I can only offer the file in .pdf format. Unlimited copies as well, so please PM me or send a request to theblackparadeseries@gmail.com. Thanks!
