Blythe Hoult was saved by a strange man eight years ago. Since then, she has worked jobs that later led her to becoming a muse to criminal masterminds. Despite the change it brought to her life, her goal remained the same—to find her savior.
One day, an offer comes her way—to find an elusive criminal under the alias 'The Magician.' She takes it, bent on proving to herself and everybody else that seemingly untraceable strangers are indeed possible to find.
In her search of The Magician, she finds herself in the center of a series of strange events and realizes that she no longer needs to find The Magician, for he has already come to her.
Blythe will discover that she is in for something beyond her expectations—an unfolding of love, deception, and revenge—when she gets brought into The Magician's family where there's Chantal (the twisted), Claude (the cunning), and Gaston (the devil himself).

Thanks to her offbeat mother, Shade’s full name is Galactic Shade Griffin. Having a name like that while being the new girl in school is pretty much catnip for bullies. The summer before Shade’s junior year of high school, her mother breaks up with yet another boyfriend and moves them once again to a new town.
This time, they move into a dilapidated old house where Shade has an entire attic bedroom to herself—at least until she discovers it’s haunted by the ghost of a teenaged boy named Brandon Yates. When Shade’s best friend goes missing, her life becomes even more complicated. With the help of Brandon who’s struggling with his own issues in the world beyond, Shade faces the question of whether or not she has what it takes to become a true hero.

Set in London and Brighton, Thirty Days is a fabulously provocative romance series that gives you a very steamy love affair between a hot guy and an unsure heroine, baked goods and some rather unexpected twists and turns along the way.
The first book in the series, Thirty Days Have September, is now FREE for a limited time and I would be grateful for an honest review

My name is Joshua Zakary. I am a return Peace Corps Uganda volunteer, and I’ve worked for USAID in Namibia. I am also a first time author offering my book (The Tide) for free this weekend. This promotion starts this Friday and lasts till Monday (April 25-28th).
The memoir has two major themes. One is about becoming a Peace Corps volunteer, the second exposes the realities of working in a region decimated by Joseph Kony’s LRA.
I believe anyone attracted to international volunteering, or to understand the complexities of living in Uganda, would find this book interesting.
I hope you enjoy it!
Thanks!
Josh

Book 1 description:
I tried not to look at the men so that I could focus on keeping my movements silent. I certainly did not want to be detected. It was impossible, however, to keep my eyes completely off the terrifying drama unfolding before me. I was certain they planned to kill the man and I had no way of helping him. The best I could do was get to safety and call the police. I had slunk my way to the left of them and was right alongside the river now. I crept along keeping a wary eye on the men. I don’t know whether I gasped, screamed, or made a sudden movement, but suddenly both sets of eyes of the evil men turned towards me just as the shot sounded. I ran as fast as I could, ignoring the ripping pain in my side, and jumped off the edge into the rushing water below.

Thank you for your time,
~ Doobie,
My third book, How to Build a God, is now on Amazon, after about a year's work. It's something I imagine you would enjoy if you have an interest in transhumanism or the future of human evolution. The basic idea is that transhumanism - including AI, modified humans, and nanotechnology- is just one natural step in the evolution of matter and complexity. The process is one that all intelligent tool-building species in the universe will go through. The second half of the book asks 'what will come after the post-humans?". I hope it will not only be an accessible introduction for readers unfamiliar with the technological singularity, but food for thought for you seasoned Kurzweilians out there. There are fictional passages throughout the book for those of you that identify more with allegories.
If this is something you think you might enjoy, just drop me a personal message with an email address included and I'll be happy to send you a mobi, epub, or word version of the book for free. In exchange, I'd be extremely grateful if you wouldn't mind putting up a review - whether negative, or positive - on Amazon once you're finished.
I'm not particularly interested in profiting from the book itself, to be honest; I'd prefer to just get it out there after a year of tearing my hair out writing it. Incidentally, the book will be free to download all day tomorrow (15th May), if you'd prefer to get hold of it that way.

BTW, I noticed fictionalized scenes in your book sample, quite well written, I think. How do you categorize your book?

Here is a quick synopsis of the book:
Ariet has been taken from her family, who are told she has died of an illness; when, in fact, she has been drugged and removed against her will to a secret underground location. Selected for a genetic breeding program by the Creators, the Monarchy of the New World, Ariet and her captor Mason, have to provide an offspring with a predetermined inherited genetic profile, or face termination. They find mutual empathy for one another when their unborn child does not carry the desirable gene. Unable to accept the scheduled termination of her pregnancy by the Creators and to save the life of her offspring, Mason helps her escape to an area outside of the Four Quadrants. Mason's childhood friend Thor, a Guardian in the Great Tower, flees with Ariet to protect her from the unknown, whilst leaving Mason behind to bring down the rulers of the New World. With the aid of refugees from the Old World, Ariet, together with her child and Thor risk everything to join Mason in his fight to destroy the Monarchy.

My name is K. Cat and I just published my first novella. It's an erotic romance called Secret Lives and Desires. If you'd like to read and review it for me I can send you a copy in PDF or e-pub.
I have to warn you that my novella contains graphic adult material. Some readers may find words and actions offensive. Plus you need to be over 18 to read it.
Here's what it's about:
Ever wanted to star in a reality show? Meet Nick and Barb, millionaire screenwriters. They know all the right people in the biz. When Nick and Barb decide for kicks to star in a reality show the network agrees to tape a pilot. Life couldn’t get any better for this dynamic couple.
There’s more to Nick and Barb than people suspect. They love to party hard with strangers. Is it safe to star in a reality show? What if their secret life is exposed? Things heat up when they plan a pirate party with sexy guys and gals. If you’re a fan of role-play, multiples (M/M/F), voyeurism and erotic men laced with sexually explicit content, this novella will satisfy your desires.
Thanks

I would like to read this - but don't bother sending me one, I've bought it. Much as I like living in New York, I need some humour from home now and then! If I like it I'll review it anyway. Good luck.

The Nine Horizons: Travels in Sundry Places

Here's the blurb:
n 1987 Mike Robbins, a young journalist in London, felt restless and decided to travel. He never really stopped. In the quarter century that followed he lived and worked in countries as diverse as the world itself.
The pieces in this book take the reader from rural Sudan to the headwaters of the Amazon, from Semana Santa in Quito to Buddhist temples in the Himalayas, across Bhutan on a motorbike, into the ancient souk of Aleppo, to the steppes of Central Asia and finally to New York. Along the way there is Ethiopian gin, a sex tourist in Moscow, Kyrgyz women in cycling pants, a surreal toilet in Brussels, echoes of slavery in Brazil, and an encounter with Helen of Troy in Third Avenue. The Nine Horizons is an anarchic snapshot of a troubled but beautiful world in transition.
