List Discrepancies

The bookshelves for this group have two listings for Rameau's Nephew. One by the author Diderot, and the other one seemingly by a translator.

I found this while comparing my bookshelves to those in this group trying to figure out why our book counts don't match. Then I looked up a copy of Arukiyomi's spreadsheet, and the www.1morechapter.com list, and found more differences.

The list in this group totals 1301 (including 11 from the 2012 edition, and 3 different editions of the 1001 book itself). The spreadsheet has 1294 up to 2010, if we add the 11 and 3, it's 1308. This number agrees with 1morechapter.com's list. Does anyone have any idea what's going on or what the actual count is or where one can find a list that is definately accurate?

I would say Arukiyomi's list is definitely accurate. He has provided the list to many users & made corrections as they were reported to him. Since he is the only one making corrections to his spreadsheet, it is more likely that fewer "mistakes" have creeped in as can happen with public lists.

So, 1294 + 11 (2012 additions) + 4 editions = 1309 total books

GR has a problem with addition on group shelves. This is known by GR and they haven't yet found a way to fix it.

I've found 1 book that was on the 2006 list, not on the 2008 or 2010 but back in 2012. Not an easy list to keep track of.
