Tracy Tuggle I enjoyed FSOG and I will read other books in the erotic genre but I also have other books I like to read.

As with any good thing...sometimes you need a break.

I will check out some of these other books at a later date, but have more books that are on my reading list that will be read first.

If you like erotica and 50 Shades try " The Reluctant Dom. I loved that book and I will never get over that one.

Nadré Wiggill I had no idea that the erotic-fantasy genre was so widely followed! It is awesome to know there are so many like-minded people out there! :-)

Joy Oh yes we are here in numbers and looking for the next great erotic love story.

message 55: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie The Beautiful Wishes of Ugly Men isn't erotic fantasy. It's more like erotic reality.

I love the Crossfire Series... Bared to you and Reflected in You, however am dying for book 3 (Entwined with you). It was supposed to come out in December but is now not coming out until May 2013. If you like 50 shades, then I think you will like these books. I noted a lot of similarities between the two so that was hard for me to get over, but I like to re-read these books and I think I liked it better the second time. I like that they are not perfect and have "issues" both Christian and Gideon but also Eva's character is flawed as well. You just want to keep routing for them. Enjoyable.. I recommend.

message 57: by Jane (new)

Jane Ferguson Hi Guys, I never read until I read 50 Shades, and well now I am a little book worm lol. After 50 Shades, I read the crossfire novels (Bared to you, Reflected in you, and I cant wait until the 3rd one comes out). Once you get your head around not compairing everyone to Christain you are fine. Loved these books. After that read the Eighty days or yellow, blue & red - wont recommend - to out there for me. I have just finished Fire after dark & Screats after dark by Sadie Matthews - third one due out soon, which again I cant wait.. just bought the in flight books which someone surgested.. see how I get on there... poor kids and husband.. I now find myself reading while trying to cook tea... house works hasnt been done in weeks!

I totally agree with you, in every moment I tried to compare Christian with Gideon and even though he is sex god as well, I don't think that he gives you the same feeling as a character like Christian Grey does.

Sleepy I love Christian!!! He was my first real book boyfriend!!:) lol!! Still is!!

Amanda Sleepy wrote: "I love Christian!!! He was my first real book boyfriend!!:) lol!! Still is!!"

Carole Try Original Sinners by Tiffany Reisz The Siren (The Original Sinners, #1) by Tiffany Reisz The Angel (The Original Sinners, #2) by Tiffany Reisz The Prince (The Original Sinners, #3) by Tiffany Reisz very well written.
There is also Naked by Raine Miller Naked (The Blackstone Affair, #1) by Raine Miller All In (The Blackstone Affair, #2) by Raine Miller .
I also liked Fallen from grace by Laura Leone Fallen from Grace by Laura Leone .

Michelle Medrano Louise wrote: "Also the Honors Series:

Caroline Fosg got me into loads of new books and I'm reading at least one a day lol depends on how many pages lol. Keep the suggestIons coming and I also like a good romantiic book with a bad boy in it lIke beautiful disaster.

❤️ Diana ❤️ If anyone s looking for a very steamy book try Susie's Choice. Dominant male, tons of sex. M/M and M/M/F scenes

message 67: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn Loved 50 shades. Had never been into the genre before... Read bared to you and the second one, liked the story but was put off by the language. Read the after dark two and recommend them, looking forward to the third instalment.

Just finished This Man and definitely recommend that one!

Jodie Dared to play was crap, I didn't even make it to the end of the first chapter......

Justine saulnier my current book shelf is totally full and i cant bare to give them away to make room for new ones.

message 70: by Acrophobia (last edited Dec 21, 2012 04:40PM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Acrophobia Although all these suggestions are good, but nothing can beat 50 shades of grey! :)

Sleepy loved fifty shades of gray haven't found one as good as it, love Christian!!!:)

Leslie You guys have given me a long list to get as soon as I get home tonight. Good thing I'm off for 3 days.....yay. I think I may start with the in flight series. Then maybe I'll peek at the honor series but some of the reviews turned me off.... I don't like tooo non-realistic but we shall see. While I love Christian, Gideon is my husband, but maybe because I perfer Eva to Ana for strength.

Thoughtless is on back burner for now!

Paulasantos Naked, this man, bared to you, in flight!

Caroline I gt so many book boyfriends. They all different from christian to Gideon to kellan Kyle loved them all xx

Julie Everlie wrote: "Also enjoyed the trilogy of Fifty shades of Gray. Can hardily wait for my hubby to be done so I can discuss the books with him and share how we both feel."

That's great that your husband it reading it. The only way I would mine to read FSOG was if it came out in a graphic novel.

Natalie T You should try Anything he wants by Sara Fawkes this is a lot like FSOG. Loved this book. But be warned about the ending there are more books coming in the series.

message 77: by Lori (new) - rated it 5 stars

Lori Perkins You might want to read the biography of EL James by a NY Times best-selling author, THE SECRET LIFE OF EL JAMES by Marc Shapiro. I think it's part of the 80% off sale at Kobo, and there's a $1 off coupon at Smashwords (Coupon Code: CN44Q).

message 78: by Marilena (last edited Dec 27, 2012 08:11AM) (new) - rated it 5 stars

Marilena Mellark Okay the first book was a little wild but it really thrilled me when Christian feel in love with Ana. I didn't know he could be that sweet and cute. Every erotic book i'll read in the future will be compared with 50SOG. I just love the trilogy and i wish there were more and more books :)

Daynara Janet wrote: "If you like Fifty Shades they you MUST read author R.K. Lilley. Best books that I have read since Fifty! She doesn't have a profile on here but I found her books on Amazon. I don't normally do t..."

I couldn't agree more!!! I was addicted to James from page one!!! By far the best series I have read since 50 shades :)

Linnette Ayala I have been reading erotic novels for the longest time [I think I was in 9th grade when I read my first one] My favorites are those historical romance types, you can read any from Gayle Callen or Stephanie Laurens. They're very entertaining [and not over-the-top with sex scenes]

message 81: by Prim (new) - rated it 5 stars

Prim Why don't you guys try this? Finding Home by Lauren Baker

Paulene I've read some erotic stuff before 5o Shades so I'm not that surprised when I read the series. The story is amazing and I didn't know BDSM before and now i know it. Haha xD
I've read some of the books that some of ya'll posted. I read TeenFic mostly but I don't mind reading some mature content. hehehe
Besides, it's only within these books that I learn some sexual stuff. Unfortunately, we don't have Sex Ed Class.

Lynette Just finished reading this book and it was AWESOME! Very much like FSOG and BTY! :)

This Man (This Man, #1) by Jodi Ellen Malpas

What happened? You weren't getting enough attention in the 'hate' threads (of which there are many,) so you decided to crash a thread where people who like the book are trying to converse?

Them maybe you shouldn't be on this thread no disrespect i'm just saying this is for people who loved the series and would like recommendations in the same genre.

I finished this one the other day. Glad I read it, had some good steamy parts. But I also had a few annoyances with this one as well...I was recently recommended Wallbanger. I read that one in one day. Pretty funny, but a slow build up....but worth the read!

★Emilia★ bared to you

Terri (N.J.) CAPTIVE IN THE DARK
SEDUCED IN THE DARK....BY: CJ ROBERTS

LOVED, LOVED This story!

★Emilia★ Terri wrote: "CAPTIVE IN THE DARK

Reading seduced in the dark now :)

Optimist ♰King's Wench♰ Some of the Maya Banks Sweet series are decent follow ups to CG. Sweet Surrender & Sweet Persuasion spring to mind.

I'll 2nd or 3rd the In Flight series by R.K. Lilley; can't wait for the 3rd of that one. It's got more BDSM than FSoG. The Original Sinners series by Tiffany Reisz is good but its hardcore BDSM; writing's fantastic though.

Ice Queen & Mirror of my Soul by Joey Hill

Wicked Burn by Beth Kery

Embracing my Submission by Jenna Jacob

Sold to the Sheikh by Chloe Cox

The Dom of my Dreams by M.F. Sinclair-more humiliation here, not for everyone

On Dublin Street by Samantha Young

Anyhoo, just some suggestions. :)

Justine saulnier Acrophobia wrote: "Although all these suggestions are good, but nothing can beat 50 shades of grey! :)"

True I liked bared to you that was a good series also. Can't wait for the new book to come out.

S. L. Gemma wrote: "Garbiel's Inferno and Gabriel's Rapture are two very good books to read after FSOG. A very smart book I should say."

I TOTALLY agree. Two of my favorites after FSOG to date and I have read SEVERAL books since I read FSOG in April. Another great series that rivals these are the Thoughtless and Effortless books by S.C. Stephens.

Renea Id like to add The Art of Submission (The Art of D/s #1) by Ella Dominguez also. It was a VERY good read. Book 2 is out The Art of Domination (The Art of D/s #2) by Ella Dominguez but I have not read that one yet.

message 98: by Angie Elle (new)

Angie Elle This is a brand new boook, and it is very similar to Fifty Shades. I think most people who liked FSoG would like this one.

Release Me (Stark Trilogy, #1) by J. Kenner
