IthacaLit’s Summer 2012 issue has two of my poems. Wedding Cake is a twist on marriage and Black, White is a poem about my father, written as homage to a famous poem, Black Stone on a White Stone by César Vallejo. You can see them here.

Very nice stuff here, Ruth. Love "Black, White" and the contrasts throughout, how it so captures life's subtle ironies.

The list of publications is amazing to me. Some top-notch journals there. The only blip is not liking sauerkraut. Fermentation is healthy, even with cabbages and kings...

Thanks Carol. I'm glad you're coming to appreciate poetry.

And NE, I took a workshop during which the leader made us write on the Vallejo poem that inspired Black, White. I'll find a copy and post it.

Gabi, there is no help for Alzheimer's.
