Astrid (artistikem) | 3 comments Hello everyone!

I'm Astrid, from Puerto Rico, and I have a feeling that my To Be Read list will turn into a two-headed monster because of this group.

I can't be happier about it, tho.

Welcome Astrid. Monumental TBR lists are a common side effect of joining this group.

Thanks, Donna! I don't think I'd want it any other way. ;)

Hi Astrid. Why stop at two... a three-headed monster at least!

What is popular in Puerto Rico? Can you recommend some of your favorite authors?

Hahaha, it'll be one of those monsters that, every time you cut one of its heads, another one sprouts.

In Puerto Rico, when it comes to books, the bestseller charts are the same as in the US. I wish I could talk about local mystery and thriller authors but, sadly, it isn't a genre favored by local authors. It may be because we already live in a very violent environment (I've often felt bad about writing it because of it, so I understand).

Ok, rant over. Favorite authors: Patricia Melo, Ken Bruen, J.J. Connolly, Salman Rushdie, Elizabeth Bowen, Douglas Adams, to mention a few. :)
