the book wasn't perhaps the best most highest scoring points book, it was just a book I happened to read that had the word "night" in it. I actually have another idea for a book I may read for this but I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it work. I hope so though.
By make it work - I mean if I'll have time to read it. ;)

http://www.bookssetin.com is really good for countries.

Oh Shirley! That's an awesome website!

Thayer, Geraldine. THE DARK RIDER. New York: Dell Publishing Co., 1961. 206 p. pbk.
Julie Pendleton had grown up on her father's Kentucky horse farm, and it seemed destined that she would marry the handsome, dashing son of a neighboring horse-raiser. "But amid the excitement of the approaching Kentucky Derby, fate took a confusing and frightening turn. A good-looking Yankee stranger made Julie's heart quicken dangerously, while a mysterious and cunning criminal threatened the Pendleton Derby entry. Suddenly, beautiful young Julie Pendleton was in a race of her own--against time and sinister evil."(1)

Certainly not trying to lead anyone down the wrong path. I am good at doing that.
Do these qualify?
After the Night (1995) Linda Howard
Deadly Night (2008) Heather Graham
All Night Long (2005) Jayne Ann Krentz
Borrower of the Night (1973) Elizabeth Peters
Deadly Nightshade (Gardening Mystery, #2)
(1999) Mary Freeman

And don't apologise, they can be tricksty these challenges. So the challenge is for the word NIGHT but I have conceded other words can be included for added ease. So I will accept twilight, dusk, evening as well. They describe the time the moon is up and the sun is down.
You can grab some extra points for the word dark if it is in the title describing your night-time. ie Dark Night, Long Night, etc.

Thanks for the insight.
I've just had a tidy up on his side of the bed & found Gaudy Night hiding there. Not read that in an age, probably because it's been hidden under the bed...

lol. Glad it's not just me who does that. P.S. That's a description of the night if you're point counting.

Night And Day looks like it might be a fun read.
I picked up my choice, Night of the Ripper at the library the other day and I would love to dive into it right now. I've had a wonky week and some diversion would be nice.

Stalking around Victorian London's streets hunting serial killers sounds fun Janice.
I was tossing up Midnight's Children too Beth. And if it ends up being a 5 star read, all the better! Nice to read something that ends up being brilliant.
We'll miss you Kimberly.
And lastly for me, because I can't get enough of long large books I can't seem to finish in time limits, I'm going to go Night Watch. Get some Muscovite/Kazakhstani vampire action going on.

Agreed :)

Beth, you will have to let me know how you like Midnight's Children. I read the first half and then put it down and have been reading other things. I keep meaning to pick it back it up, but other books seem much more enticing. I don't hate the book. It's actually kind of good. I really don't know what it is about the book that makes me not want to read it. I just can't put my finger on it.

Night Watch! Well that's a book that I might attempt (again, I already tried once and failed to get past the first 10 pages before having to return it..) for this challenge! I've been surprised with how few (aka none ^^) of my tbr-books have something with night in the title althought most of them are having their good share of nighttime.

I have also been looking at The Night Circus

WOW! Almeta gave it 5 stars! Maybe I should give it a go? The bad thing about this group is that I keep adding to my TBR! LOL Anyway, 5 stars is very difficult to achieve and such a pleasure when you encounter one worthy of the rating!

Oh no Lindy! You're better that me. I would have made many yelly phonecalls by now demanding my book back!
Connie, that title is ridiculous lol! But sounds like you have a challenger now.

WAIT! Didn't I just say that I would only read books already on my shelf????
oooops!
Rus, are you currently reading it?

I didn't think how confusing this thread would end up being lol

Thanks so much, Almeta. I trust you and know I must read it if you gave it such a great review!

Especially when you consider titles being re-used as well as looking similar. I found the title "Night watch" on our shelves by 2 different authors.
Night Watch Alistair MacLean's Night Watch
I might pick one, just to confuse that little bit more...

Connie and April I am thinking of reading The Night Circus too. It has reached my bedstand but I will only be able to start with it next week as this week's choc-a-bloc with traveling and a conference. Pragya wrote: ""

no no. It's all doing my head in.

I thought of it immediately. I invite others to share in reading this classic YA book as it is a "sure" challenge winner."
Is there a page limit specification in this challenge? This is under 200 pages.
