I am too. I am trying to get reservations to attend a Mad Hatters Tea Party in the garden of her home, The Mount.

Marie Williams I love The Mount!! It's been years since I've been there, but I'm quickly coming up with a whole list of reasons why I need to go back to Massachusetts soon...

If you come to Massachusetts, let me know. We could meet for coffee :)

How neat to be able to visit her home. I love to have something tangible to link to a reading. This has been on my TR list for a long time, so I am excited to get a chance to mark it "read".

Marie Williams That would be great, coffee is my favorite word! It would probably be at least January before I had time to come back though. How lucky to live in Massachusetts. I'm stuck in Florida for the time being. Are you near the Berkshires, or closer to the Boston side? I usually stay in Salem, just because it's the area I'm most familiar with, and drive around. Good luck on your tickets, sounds like a blast!!

Ho..."

Her home is beautiful, well worth seeing if you ever have the opportunity. I'm sure you'll like the book, especially if you've read any of Wharton's other work. Age of Innocence is my favorite, partly because it was the first of hers I read, but House of Mirth is at the top of the list as well. I hope you enjoy it, I would love to be able to read them for the first time again.

I'm in Western Massachusetts. Amherst to be exact. Not far from the Berkshires, and about 2 hrs outside Boston

Hanneke I am joining this read. The book has been ordered and is on its way!

I've been by the college. I never had the opportunity to stop in the area but what I saw looked lovely.

Sara (phantomswife) I would so love to visit Amherst. So much history there, especially literary history. Would be a prime entry on my bucket list if I kept one.
