Dear Matthew, You have created a very believable and engaging tale of Tom's (first) adventure!
I read expectantly each night til my eyelids drooped. When I would spy the book waiting for me to pick it up the next night, there was that welcoming feeling you experience like a couch and warm blanket calling to you on a rainy Sunday afternoon.
The details you provide of life aboard the boat and the physical hardships Tom endured translate viscerally, and I caught myself grimacing a number of times.
Wonder what became of Harley? I liked that character and would love to see him again. Does Tom follow up on the Note and meet the sender? Maybe he is a rich reclusive adventurer....
Guess you figured by now I am going to NEED to read the series !
Thanks, Matthew for following your heart and committing to your art. The world is a better place because of your gifts!
