Ann aka Iftcan (iftcan) | 17 comments http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/23... has an older cover shown as the cover for that edition. I have this edition of the book, and can upload the correct cover. But I do NOT have a copy of the edition with that cover, so am not sure where it actually belongs. I don't want to just delete it and put in the correct one, I'd like to get that cover matched up with ITS edition as well as putting in the correct cover for this edition.

How do we go about repairing this mistake?

Cait (tigercait) | 5005 comments Don't delete a cover for an edition unless you are absolutely certain that that edition has never been published with that cover! (It's very hard to be certain of this for older books.) It sounds like you need to add an alternate cover edition:

Jonathon (jonp) | 146 comments If you check the ISBN10 on the web, you will find that the cover displayed for ISBN10:0441436757 ISBN13:9780441436750 was used in earlier editions. Using the ISBN10 is important as these printings predate the ISBN:13.
I have a lot of other SF early editions/printing and it is very common for covers to change several times for the same ISBN over several printing. It is in fact the main reason I became a librarian as I was entering many alternative cover editions

Banjomike | 5530 comments The Ace F287 book dates from 1964. I have several slightly later Ace books which still don't have an ISBN.

This edition:
http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/65...
is already described as F-287 with the correct dates so I've added a better cover. It also seems to have the ISBN that matches the F number that Ace would have issued when they got around to it ie 0441062873.

The 1981 Ace might have had a yellow/orange cover.

Ann aka Iftcan (iftcan) | 17 comments That F287 is why I believe that this isn't the correct cover for this book. I couldn't get it to let me manually ADD another edition of the book using the correct ISBN, so I left that blank and just put in the info for the book and the cover.

I went through a number of my Andre Nortons yesterday and today (I am a major fan, and have multiple copies of many of her works) and imported pictures for the editions that I had.
