Michelle Gilmore | 151 comments I'm going to go with Bones from Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series. He's the first "good" bad boy that I can remember ever reading about. There's also Ralph from Lord of the Flies that I read I about back in the 6th grade- if I remember correctly, he could be dangerous when he had to, and I had a crush on his character.

Rachel, we are the same page. I love western heroes, especially when they are edgy. Western historicals are especially favorites of mine.

I also agree that charisma and personality have more impact than good looks. I'm not real big on pretty boys personally.

Yeah, Sean Bean does die a lot in movies.

Gerard Butler also tended to die a lot in movies before recently.

Zee Monodee (zee_monodee) | 688 comments I can't remember 1 book in particular, but I do recall it was one of those bodice rippers of old times, with Fabio on the cover. :) The hero was a pirate with a heart. Totally hooked me

Poor Sean Bean! I've never noticed he dies in every film he's in. Should have been a dead giveaway/spoiler for fans of GOT. Haha!

I think my first dangerous hero was Cole Clayborne from For The Roses by Julie Garwood. He was the reason why I was glued to that book with his messy self. Love him!

Laura I fell in love with Sean Bean when he was playing Sharpe and I've loved him ever since. I think he quite possibly could be the only actor I might just make a fool of myself over if I actually got to met him!

The Sharpe movies are good stuff.

I love For the Roses, Arch. One of my favorites.

Jessica | 8 comments I noticed something about Sean Bean tho..... How many characters has he played that die sometime during the story? Just a weird correlation I made when I saw he was going to play Ned Stark. I read those books, the ones already released, ages ago so I knew what was going to happen to that character already

Jessica (studioeastrat) | 511 comments I think that the producers just enjoy killing him off. lol.

Gwen (gwenk) | 161 comments My first dangerous hero was Steve Morgan (Esteban Alvarado)from Rosemary Rogers Sweet Savage Love.
He was downright, dangerous, delectable, decadent and delicious and I had no idea anyone could write that way. Of course, writers have delved deeper today than that book ever did, but believe me when I read it, my eyes were bugging out big time. :)

Fil (magab64) | 85 comments Steve Morgan was mine too! My first historical romance, and boy was I hooked!

Jill I never got into Steve Morgan but I dot read the book about his daughter and it was awesome, can't think what it was called at the moment but the hero was definitely a bad boy.

Tammy | 395 comments Hmm... I think my very first dangerous hero may have been Mark from The China Garden by Liz Berry , he's pretty much a teenage biker hero

In high school I really liked Anne Rice so Lestat, of course. And I read the Buffy books, Angel is a dangerous hero.
