Welcome Jonard, I hope you enjoy our small but perfectly-formed group of discerning readers. Yes, I too liked The Life and Times of Michael K and was surprised that virtually no-one I knew at the time it was published also liked it.
I'm new to goodreads, and been meaning to join a book club of some sort. It's been a while since I actually participated in one of these book clubs.
I enjoy pretty much any genre, depending on the book. Love Ian McEwan, John Banville, Asian history. Fictions written by Nobel laureate that I love include: Henderson the Rain King, Life & Times of Michael K, Love in the Time of Cholera, The Fish Can Sing. (Can't wait for Ian McEwan to win the Lit Prize so I could add more)
Would love to one day finish Cervantes' Don Quixote (I just couldn't-- for some odd reason).
Thanks!
