I've been crazy busy with real life this summer/fall and haven't been able to keep up, Sarajayne. Interestingly enough, 3 of my Facebook friends announced this July / August on Facebook that they had cancer and/or were going into the hospital to begin treatment. One of them got super quiet, the other two, super chatty. It's interesting to read how differently the different people cope with the chemo and various side "effects" that go with it. Platelet replacement seems to be as common a topic (and concern) as anything else (for all kinds of cancer, not just blood/bone related ones)

Best of luck to you caring for your friend, Sarajayne. It's not easy to be the support system - but it's harder to be the patient!
