Book name part of author name

[New librarian question]
Is a super-librarian needed to fix this, or can I do something about it? I saw it more than once.

* merge the author with Original author's name
* preserve the book name for the quote

Yes, except I would probably do the quote first then the author. Goodreads caching delays have been known to make you wait after an author merge.

If the author is a Goodreads author then you would need to post a merge request in the appropriate thread and not touch the quote or anything else.
