I AM NOT A HOLLIDAY!!

My teacher isn't like that, she has COMMON SENSE. She hates Twilight. ^^

message 53: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments I am taking Latin, and we don't have converstations. The only thing we can really say in the form of a conversation is "Hi (Salve)" and "Bye (Walve)". My first name is pure Rose, and the weird thing is that my mother is extremely allergic to roses.

message 56: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments It is so easy, you don't have to even speak it. I can say all these diffrent things! There is this character, Quintus, who is the teenage son in the textbook, and at the beginning he is always drinking wine in the dining room "Quintus est vineum bibit", and so there is this part when their old slave comes to visit. And then his parents are gretting him when he walks in, and I picture him just sucking on a juice box, I can even hear the noise.

message 58: by Randi (new)

Randi (The Artist Formerly known as Guitar Chick) (guitarchick) I used to take latin. It was okish..... kind of annoying sometimes when you're forced to take it though.. Probably 'cause all the other kids hated me.

message 59: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments The thing I hate is that we have Latin names in my class, and the only two girl names left were Sexta and Quinta, so obviously I chose Quinta. And ya know how the female Roman would take the name of her husband when they got married? Well, the guy who sits next to me is Quintus, and we have to do this thing where we fake the lives of Romans... so, yeah, and he's pretty weird.

message 60: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments There is no past tense in Latin, 'past' in the form of tenses is like a swear word in my class. It's perfect, imperfect, present and future.

message 61: by Randi (new)

Randi (The Artist Formerly known as Guitar Chick) (guitarchick) Rose that's funny. That school did have a toga party. That was my first day there. i'm not even kidding.

message 62: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments That must have been some great first impressions. I have a Ceaser costume.

message 63: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments What evs, I can't spell anything. And yes a hard C, that's how it is in Latin.

message 64: by Randi (new)

Randi (The Artist Formerly known as Guitar Chick) (guitarchick) It was really funny, 'cause everybody told me I looked really different without a toga. One of the funniest days of my life.

message 65: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments Hah, I remember in third grade we had Greek and Roman day, and I wore a golden table cloth, and I looked stylish. They always kept taking pictures of me, and one with this guy who went for the entire nine yards. In the yearbook, they took that picture, I could tell because I could see part of my cloth, and cut me out of it, only showing him.

message 66: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments I know, I was cute in third grade!

~ EpicFroggy ~ *Loves Tweedle-Dee!* (bengali208) | 160 comments alright, having just finished Breaking Dawn, I feel the need for a completely new letter.

*ahem*

Dear Mrs. Meyer,

............. ugh, where do I begin? There are so many more things wrong with your series than I first thought. Reading Breaking Dawn was like a bad horror movie. As I struggled through all four of your paper-wasting-menaces-some-people-actually-consider-literature, I found more and more things that made me uncomfortable.

Number one on my list is Bella and Edward's extremely abusive relationship. Not so much in Breaking Dawn or the end of Eclipse, but still there. He practically controls her life for her. Edward is ten times morse than my parents ever will be, and that's saying something. Just the fact that he sabotoged(sp?) her car so she couldn't see Jacob is more than enough evidence. He could've have talked to her. Then came Alice kidnapping her. I would say that's going a little far. Maybe it's just me. And Bella simply finds it annoying. Not creepy. ANNOYING. Most normal people don't find being kidnapped annoying.

My second 'beef' so to speak with the series is the horrible role model Bella is towards young girls today. You may not realize this, but your books are teaching girls pretty some dangerous habits. I'm not a feminist, not really, but the fact that Bella is so devoted to Edward that she doesn't care about anything else but him disturbs me. A lot more now that I've actually read ALL of your despicable books. These kinds of things are definately not what good, strong relationships should be based on, not in my opinion. Most girls that read your 'happy ending' are going to walk away thinking, "someday that will happen to me!" and a lot of girls are going to be heartbroken someday, there's no getting around that. You have no idea the power that is under your fingertips right now, as the author of a hugely 'popular' book series that has no doubt made quite a bit of money. I'm just a kid too, but I would advise you to be careful with this 'wishful thinking' of yours. It's doing a lot more damage than you're aware of from your pedestal.

Okay, I'm finished being calm and reasonable. I'm not in a good mood after my horrifying glimpse of the Twilight world, and now I'm gonna rant a bit.

Mrs. Meyer, I have no personal beef with you, but I have to wonder what kind of a sick person you are to write that... that... that CRAP. I'm not saying you're sick, I'm just saying I have reason to believe that's true. But can you blame me? The birth scene was brutal. I can't wait to see what they do with that in the movie. *my sarcasm hand is raised* You've managed to destroy even the marginally good parts in your book with this supposed 'happy ending' you've got in place. I can't believe how many plot holes I found.... it's not even funny. And I just love how every time you write yourself into a corner, something miraculous happens that's supposed to explain everything! *again, my sarcasm hand is raised* Ugh.....

TWLIGHT
favourite parts: when James snapped Bella's leg. tee-hee. XD
least-favourite parts: pretty much everything else. Just kidding. I think..... all her senseless whining. And the many times the same words are used. *cough* murmer, velvet, sparkle and smolder - and crooked smile *cough* wow, that was a long cough! XD Also, how the hell do you 'smolder' at someone? I've been wracking my brains the entire way through, and I just can't figure it out! Come one, Steph, enlighten me! (mind if I call you Steph? Mrs. Meyer just seems so formal!) alright, I'm done.

NEW MOON
favourite blah blah: umm..... when she throws herself off a cliff! and then she doesn't die, Jacob rescues her. dang werewolves....
un-favourite blah blah: the hole in her chest. ugh. it's just sooo annoying. and, again, your writing style. double ugh.

ECLIPSE
favourite: the fight scene! finally, some action! and Jacob was kinda funny from here on out. I actually caught myself laughing at a few things he said. *grimace*
un-favourite: Abusive Edward. grr.....

BREAKING DAWN
favourite: gosh, I'm not sure there are any.. wait... maybe the parts that are in Jacob's perspective, they're not so painful.
un-favourite: I can truthfully say EVERYTHING else. I hated that book the most by far.

sorry for rambling, but I get some credit for not killing myself before I finished. Now I can really say I hate Twilight. Every dirty - or bloody - detail of it.

I really hope the Twilight mania thing doesn't go on forever. I can dream. Peace out.

Yours truly,
Joy

P.S. my computer says 'murmer' isn't a word. maybe I spelled it wrong. maybe not. XD

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments Awesome letter, Joy or Seke, whatever you wish to be called. I can't beleive you even read Breaking Dawn.... just amazing. I appluad you.

~ EpicFroggy ~ *Loves Tweedle-Dee!* (bengali208) | 160 comments *bows dramatically* thank you, thank you! no, no more applause. *crickets chirping*

yeah, I still can't believe I did it! *pumps fist in air* I RULE!

you can call me either Joy or Seze, Seze Tsawke is my self-given Na'Vi name. I'm exercising my nerdish tendencies by attempting to learn the fictional Na'Vi language from the oh-so-awesome AVATAR MOVIE!! *dramatic Avatar theme music in background*

message 75: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments That was a good movie, I can tell you're gonna be one of the fangirls at the movie theater at eight p.m. when the sequal comes out at midnight.

Good luck with that!

~ EpicFroggy ~ *Loves Tweedle-Dee!* (bengali208) | 160 comments no, I don't do midnight movie premiers. I'll go the day after it comes out! ^_^ Avatar was a really good movie, though, I've seen it twice. XD My dad already has the next one planned out.

message 77: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments My dad won't get over it, he's always bugging me about it. "Do you wanna go see THE movie??"

~ EpicFroggy ~ *Loves Tweedle-Dee!* (bengali208) | 160 comments "YES I DOO!!!!!!" *jumps up and down like a kangaROO* I don't know why I capitalized the -ROO but oh well... any of you guys(or gals) seen Dear John.. cause me and my friends were thinking bout seein it today..?

message 79: by Nightshade (new)

Nightshade | 1257 comments My friend saw Dear John and said it was really, really good, but depressing.

I, on the other hand, would rather read Breaking Dawn Down than see that movie. I don't go for romance movies. :P

But Sherlock Holmes was really good! Lots of explosions... we sat too close to the screen and my eyes were burning, but it was still really good O_O

And Princess and the Frog PWNED! Heh, it was just awesome. That's all there is to it. XD

message 80: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments I just saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs on OnDemand. It was really good. And funny, Flint is such a loser...

message 82: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments I watched it twice... and little Flint is so adorable I couldn't stand it!!!!!!

~ EpicFroggy ~ *Loves Tweedle-Dee!* (bengali208) | 160 comments eh, we saw Sherlock Holmes.... it was alright, I guess. My friends and I ended up seeing Avatar! that would be my third time. haha I really really wanna see Princess and the Frog. sounds like a classic princess movie, not like the crap on Disney Channel.

message 84: by Rose (new)

Rose (iceclaw) | 2069 comments Disney Channel movies are the crappiest (which reminds me that I just saw Fox and the Hound on Playhouse Disney today)!!! They don't make any sense. Princess and the Frog got really good ratings, but I wouldn't go to the movie theater and watch it (I'll do that in secret!!) though I am curious.

~ EpicFroggy ~ *Loves Tweedle-Dee!* (bengali208) | 160 comments HAHA that's so funny! Fox and the HOund they're adorable! I love all those classic Disney movies; I frequently find myself humming "Everybody Wants to Be a Cat" from the Aristocats! haha I so love that movie!

Olivia ^^The Awesome Mushroom^^ (canttaketheawesomeness) | 756 comments Ohhhhhh, I loved the Aristocats!! Lolz ^_^

~ EpicFroggy ~ *Loves Tweedle-Dee!* (bengali208) | 160 comments ^_^ I love funny faces. ^..^ << Pig face! XD

I was born a disney kid and I'd die a disney... uh... grandma :P

hahah I remembered that when my father went to Taiwan for work, he sent me some VHS tapes of Disney.

The funny part was, I was so young, I didn't know that the language in most of the disney movies and episodes he sent me were in Chinese. That's why I kept asking my mum why I couldn't understand it :P hahaha

But because I was a persistent little girl I kept watching them, and ended up understanding the whole movies and episodes judging by the actions of the characters.

Thank God that Aladdin was in english! hahaha!! Jasmine is my favourite princess :P She's not a helpless little girl (Snow White), because I watched so many movies of her and Princess Episodes of her kicking butt, who's beauty, grace, and attitude came from fairies and so much beauty sleep (aka Sleeping Beauty)

But I'd have to say that the best romance story among the Princesses would be Belle. It's not the love at first sight fantasy (although I do believe in this because it happened to a lot of the members of my family and they're all happily married) and it took them time to fall in love. Best of all, she loved Beast for who he was. :P

Mulan's the best fighter among all of them though, hands down! :D Although she's not a princess. :P

~ EpicFroggy ~ *Loves Tweedle-Dee!* (bengali208) | 160 comments Yeah, Belle's alway been my favourite. Beauty and the Beast is the one Disney movie that I used to watch like all the time. My parents used to call me 'Belle' because I love to read so much, even when I was little...... good times...... I never really liked Jasmine, mostly cause she was kinda a brat. ^_^ I always liked the monkey. XD

OK << stick figure sideways!

~ EpicFroggy ~ *Loves Tweedle-Dee!* (bengali208) | 160 comments .......I can't think of any more....... it may be due to brain damage after reading the most atrocious Twilight fan-fic I have ever seen. i swear whoever this is rapes the thesaurus every two words. *headdesk* ugh.... my head hurts.

message 92: by Jamine Isabel E. Uy, The creative makes-awesome-stuff-for-us one (new)

Hmm... Jasmine? A brat? I never saw that comin'? O.O When was she a brat?

~ EpicFroggy ~ *Loves Tweedle-Dee!* (bengali208) | 160 comments I don't know, I haven't watched the movie in at least six years. I could be very wrong. Like I said, my head hurts from too much purple prose.....
