A Series of Letters for Mrs. Meyer ~ From all the Twilight Haters

*ahem*
Dear Mrs. Meyer,
............. ugh, where do I begin? There are so many more things wrong with your series than I first thought. Reading Breaking Dawn was like a bad horror movie. As I struggled through all four of your paper-wasting-menaces-some-people-actually-consider-literature, I found more and more things that made me uncomfortable.
Number one on my list is Bella and Edward's extremely abusive relationship. Not so much in Breaking Dawn or the end of Eclipse, but still there. He practically controls her life for her. Edward is ten times morse than my parents ever will be, and that's saying something. Just the fact that he sabotoged(sp?) her car so she couldn't see Jacob is more than enough evidence. He could've have talked to her. Then came Alice kidnapping her. I would say that's going a little far. Maybe it's just me. And Bella simply finds it annoying. Not creepy. ANNOYING. Most normal people don't find being kidnapped annoying.
My second 'beef' so to speak with the series is the horrible role model Bella is towards young girls today. You may not realize this, but your books are teaching girls pretty some dangerous habits. I'm not a feminist, not really, but the fact that Bella is so devoted to Edward that she doesn't care about anything else but him disturbs me. A lot more now that I've actually read ALL of your despicable books. These kinds of things are definately not what good, strong relationships should be based on, not in my opinion. Most girls that read your 'happy ending' are going to walk away thinking, "someday that will happen to me!" and a lot of girls are going to be heartbroken someday, there's no getting around that. You have no idea the power that is under your fingertips right now, as the author of a hugely 'popular' book series that has no doubt made quite a bit of money. I'm just a kid too, but I would advise you to be careful with this 'wishful thinking' of yours. It's doing a lot more damage than you're aware of from your pedestal.
Okay, I'm finished being calm and reasonable. I'm not in a good mood after my horrifying glimpse of the Twilight world, and now I'm gonna rant a bit.
Mrs. Meyer, I have no personal beef with you, but I have to wonder what kind of a sick person you are to write that... that... that CRAP. I'm not saying you're sick, I'm just saying I have reason to believe that's true. But can you blame me? The birth scene was brutal. I can't wait to see what they do with that in the movie. *my sarcasm hand is raised* You've managed to destroy even the marginally good parts in your book with this supposed 'happy ending' you've got in place. I can't believe how many plot holes I found.... it's not even funny. And I just love how every time you write yourself into a corner, something miraculous happens that's supposed to explain everything! *again, my sarcasm hand is raised* Ugh.....
TWLIGHT
favourite parts: when James snapped Bella's leg. tee-hee. XD
least-favourite parts: pretty much everything else. Just kidding. I think..... all her senseless whining. And the many times the same words are used. *cough* murmer, velvet, sparkle and smolder - and crooked smile *cough* wow, that was a long cough! XD Also, how the hell do you 'smolder' at someone? I've been wracking my brains the entire way through, and I just can't figure it out! Come one, Steph, enlighten me! (mind if I call you Steph? Mrs. Meyer just seems so formal!) alright, I'm done.
NEW MOON
favourite blah blah: umm..... when she throws herself off a cliff! and then she doesn't die, Jacob rescues her. dang werewolves....
un-favourite blah blah: the hole in her chest. ugh. it's just sooo annoying. and, again, your writing style. double ugh.
ECLIPSE
favourite: the fight scene! finally, some action! and Jacob was kinda funny from here on out. I actually caught myself laughing at a few things he said. *grimace*
un-favourite: Abusive Edward. grr.....
BREAKING DAWN
favourite: gosh, I'm not sure there are any.. wait... maybe the parts that are in Jacob's perspective, they're not so painful.
un-favourite: I can truthfully say EVERYTHING else. I hated that book the most by far.
sorry for rambling, but I get some credit for not killing myself before I finished. Now I can really say I hate Twilight. Every dirty - or bloody - detail of it.
I really hope the Twilight mania thing doesn't go on forever. I can dream. Peace out.
Yours truly,
Joy
P.S. my computer says 'murmer' isn't a word. maybe I spelled it wrong. maybe not. XD

yeah, I still can't believe I did it! *pumps fist in air* I RULE!
you can call me either Joy or Seze, Seze Tsawke is my self-given Na'Vi name. I'm exercising my nerdish tendencies by attempting to learn the fictional Na'Vi language from the oh-so-awesome AVATAR MOVIE!! *dramatic Avatar theme music in background*

Good luck with that!

I, on the other hand, would rather read Breaking
But Sherlock Holmes was really good! Lots of explosions... we sat too close to the screen and my eyes were burning, but it was still really good O_O
And Princess and the Frog PWNED! Heh, it was just awesome. That's all there is to it. XD

I was born a disney kid and I'd die a disney... uh... grandma :P
hahah I remembered that when my father went to Taiwan for work, he sent me some VHS tapes of Disney.
The funny part was, I was so young, I didn't know that the language in most of the disney movies and episodes he sent me were in Chinese. That's why I kept asking my mum why I couldn't understand it :P hahaha
But because I was a persistent little girl I kept watching them, and ended up understanding the whole movies and episodes judging by the actions of the characters.
Thank God that Aladdin was in english! hahaha!! Jasmine is my favourite princess :P She's not a helpless little girl (Snow White), because I watched so many movies of her and Princess Episodes of her kicking butt, who's beauty, grace, and attitude came from fairies and so much beauty sleep (aka Sleeping Beauty)
But I'd have to say that the best romance story among the Princesses would be Belle. It's not the love at first sight fantasy (although I do believe in this because it happened to a lot of the members of my family and they're all happily married) and it took them time to fall in love. Best of all, she loved Beast for who he was. :P
Mulan's the best fighter among all of them though, hands down! :D Although she's not a princess. :P
