Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments Every time I see this thread title, it makes me sad. I have an inordinate disdain for violence, even suggested or imagined violence.

Aliyah | 369 comments that's because you're a nice bear good bear.

Susan | 6406 comments This thread makes me angry, frustrated or sad.

message 104: by Aliyah (new)

Aliyah | 369 comments @ Bunwat: but then its not your concern you know (i.e. society of assholes), because I doubt they would be smart enough to build spaceships in any case.

message 105: by Aliyah (new)

Aliyah | 369 comments other people who deserve to be hit (by a blunt object) or flogged are: pedophiles, criminals like OJ Simpson, pirates (real ones), dumb people who talk way too loud at restaurants/ libraries/ department stores, pseudo-sensitive guys, dimwits who laugh excessively at the same joke, dumb people who tweet every fucking minute ALL THE TIME ABOUT UTTER TRIPE, SHIT AND GARBAGE. Sorry about that. That was my outburst.

message 106: by Aliyah (new)

Aliyah | 369 comments there are pretty decent people around...I just feel strongly about the groupings I've mentioned on this tread. Fantastic people for example are those guest speakers on TED Talks and interacting with people outside my race, culture or religion. Which is easily found everyday at varsity.

message 107: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I love your imagination, Dubs! That story is pretty funny, too.

Phil | 11837 comments BunWat wrote: "Also, I am solidly amused by "criminals like OJ Simpson." Criminals unlike OJ are of course fine. Its so wonderfully random."

Regarding the murder charges, OJ Simpson was acquitted in a court of law. He's in prison because he was stupid enough to try to get his memorabilia back while being with someone carrying a firearm.

Define "casual reader."

I find I often want to flog the people giving the TED talks.

message 116: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I am just thankful the Space Goats are getting fed.

message 117: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Hammocks are superb.

I called them hemlocks when I was little.

message 118: by Heidi (new)

Heidi (heidihooo) | 10825 comments My cousins had the coolest teen den down in the basement at my aunt's home when we were kids - they had giant king-sized hammocks hung from wall-to-wall down there with a giant king sized pad on it so it wasn't entirely uncomfortable. In fact, I fell asleep in the basement at my cousins' home fairly often.

message 119: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments That sounds very cool!

It really is.

message 121: by Margot (new)

Margot | 103 comments People who make partisan political comments on twitter should be the first eaten by space goats after the invasion.

message 122: by Aliyah (new)

Aliyah | 369 comments yeah! don't you find them utterly hypocritical and egotistical?

I've never seen a president run with children more adorably.

Like this?

I LOVE this! I have my own utopia in my head where I can banish bad drivers as well. But, the whole other planet? Fantastic!! You should write a SF novel on this premise. It would rock.

message 129: by [deleted user] (new)

It's all humane, Heiders.

message 130: by Aliyah (new)

Aliyah | 369 comments sometimes when I play Angry Birds I imagine 77 groups of people's heads as the green piggies.

She should! I would read it. Oooo. How about little installments of it in The Tricky Little Booj!

message 132: by [deleted user] (new)

*LOVE*

Z, I call that my "alone time". :)

Aliyah | 369 comments Gus wrote: "Pray for what? My sould to be saved?

Fuck that. If Heaven is filled with Bible-thumping creeps like that, I'd rather party in Hell with Satan."

Haha! This should be written on a T-shirt and copyrighted.

message 134: by Aliyah (new)

Aliyah | 369 comments To anyone who knows Gus Sanchez; what happened to him? And why doesn't he post stuff anymore on TC? Same applies to Clark (man who said that TC isn't a Tupperware party for assholes).

message 135: by Aliyah (new)

Aliyah | 369 comments Ah, I've seen Dr Detroit around. I think he has writing talent. I looked at his blog. I like the snark, wish that trash-lit authors like Stephanie Meyer etc got a dose of his criticism.

message 136: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I didn't know Mr. D had a blog!

message 137: by [deleted user] (last edited Feb 19, 2013 11:52AM) (new)

Either did I. Or are you talking about the shit I post around here?

message 138: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments Oh shit that is funny.

message 139: by Aliyah (new)

Aliyah | 369 comments I was referring to Gus. But Dr Detroit should write in a blog too.
