I happy with The Dozen Deadly Divas as team name :)

Amy (redheadmommy06) | 67 comments I'm Here!!! Sorry I was late! I'm fine with the Team name and captain :) I live in California and I am a stay at home mom to our two girls. I also do in home childcare with my sister. This is my first time playing, my long time friend Breann recommended this game and she wouldn't steer me wrong, so I am very excited to play. When will the shelf be announced?

message 53: by Amy (new)

Amy (redheadmommy06) | 67 comments Nevermind, shelf announced on the 16th, now I see :)

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Yay, I'll wait for the Bingo fairies to change our name to The Dozen Deadly Divas :)

Welcome Amy, glad you checked in! I was wondering how we were going to let you know that we were here, but good to see you made it. First Shelf will be announced tomorrow I think (judging from Australian time!)

I've always wanted to visit California. And yup, all of our team is here now!

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

Awesome our team has all checked in, we have a great name and Captain :) now all we need is a shelf called so we can start reading!

We'll see about that Breann...may the best team win ;)

Adding shelves on the first page...my free space will be The Last Echo (The Body Finder, #3) by Kimberly Derting that I need to read for an ARC.

Kat I'm really interested in that book, let us know what you think of it!

message 62: by Amy (new)

Amy (redheadmommy06) | 67 comments I agree, Kat's book looks really interesting. I'm still not sure what I want to read for my free space, too many good choices! I am up for recommendations :) Our girls are 6 and 3. The 6 year old is in first grade and I am proud to report she reads at a third grade level. Lol I don't know what I would do if my kids didn't enjoy reading. The 3 year old just turned 3 last Sunday and decided tormenting our cats is her new hobby. My Husband is a structural engineer and works for a private firm in our town. Breann, I love you with all my heart, but you've got nothing on team 12, I feel it!!

As we've got some new players, the book you pick must be on this shelf, and post up the book that you will be reading over the week here. I'll update the first post to let everyone know what you're reading.

Once you're done, just post a review.

There's no requirement to read the same book. But you could and make it a mini-buddy read. ;-)

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm half way through my shelf read and I just started my free space read which I must say is riviting so far.

Jeann I'll be joining you for the Feed buddy read which I plan on starting when I get home from work this afternoon :)

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Hehe no problem, it does take a long time to get into doesn't it? I'm hoping the second will be better.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 247 comments This Side of the Grave (Night Huntress, #5) by Jeaniene Frost

Shelf: Kick Ass Heroine
Rating: 5 stars
Date Finished: 9/17/12

I really enjoyed getting back to Cat and Bones. There was just the right mix of romance and action. In fact, I think this was very swoon worthy....when Bones told Cat he'd love her no matter where they were, I melted. I also liked that Cat finally decided to be honest about the depth of her feelings for him.

I didn't read the Night Huntress books that were published before this one and honestly, I feel like I missed something. Yes, circumstances were explained, but I still missed having the whole back story. I'm going to have to go back and read those before continuing with the last book.

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Great review Susan, I didn't realise you haven't read the ones before that, wow! The first was just ok to me but it gets REALLY good between 2-5. Then it simmers at number 6.

message 88: by Susan (susayq ~) (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 247 comments Noooo. I read books 1-4. I meant I didn't read Spade or Menchares books. Sorry for the confusion.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 247 comments I've decided to read Fallen (Fallen, #1) by Lauren Kate for my free space. It's on the group bookshelf :)

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Ah, I've yet to start that series Jessica but I hear so many good things about it. I've got the first 6 in a box set still waiting to be read!

Finished my shelf read! :)

The Good, the Bad, and the Undead (The Hollows, #2) by Kim Harrison

Shelf for Sept 16th:Kick Ass Heroine
Book Chosen:The Good, the Bad, and the Undead ~ Kim Harrison
Date Read:September 19 2012
Rating:♥♥♥♥
Review:As usual Rachel Morgan is up to her oh so famous witchy ways. Book two the the Hollows series was an action packed ride from the first page to the last, and I honestly don't know why it has taken me so long to continue on with this series.

I just love all the characters Ivy, Jenks, Trent and Nick all add a great mix of character relationships that are at times very funny and also very tense. The action was non stop and I found myself reading late into the night will little regard for my work schedule...lol

After not reading this series for about 6 years and picking up book two felt like meeting up with old friends that you haven't seen in awhile and can't remember the reason why you stopped talking to them in the first place. I'm very much looking forward to the next book in the series :)

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Ohh Kat great review! I have read the first 2 of those series and it is terribly complex (but in a good way). I find it interesting the relationship between Ivy and Rachel.

Would you read the third one anytime soon? I was reading them for a buddy read but we never ended up reading the 3rd one.

message 93: by [deleted user] (new)

I think i'm going to start the next book right away but i'm waiting until the next shelf is called in the hopes that it will fit the shelf so maybe we can set something up to have like a mini bingo buddy read once we see the next shelf

Jeann (Happy Indulgence) (happyindulgence) | 1151 comments Okay, that could work if it fits in :)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 247 comments I'm loving Fallen! It was kind of slow going at first, but now that Luce has learned about her past with Daniel, things seem to have picked up. I hope the next shelf called has the next book on it LOL

message 98: by Susan (susayq ~) (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 247 comments Fallen (Fallen, #1) by Lauren Kate

Shelf: Free Space
Rating: 4 stars
Date Finished: 9/20/12

This was a great beginning to this series. I thought it started off a little slow, but once it got going, boy, was it going. I literally could not put it down for the last 100 or so pages.

I think there is more to Luce than Daniel and their friends have told her. There has to be some reason she keeps being reincarnated and finding him other than just him being a fallen angel. And after that cliff hanger cryptic ending, I KNOW there's more to Luce than her just being a random girl.

I'll be reading the next one in this series very soon.

Ceri (allforbooks) | 46 comments i have finished my shelf read, i see from previous posts that we post review here?? How did your make some of the text highlighted??? (DARK)

message 100: by Susan (susayq ~) (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 247 comments Ceri, to make something bold you type your text between these symbols < b > text you want bold < /b >

But don't have spaces in between the greater than and less than symbols. Did that make sense? LOL
