Book-appropriate music for the WIN

With Asimov, I would think anything with a Theremin would be appropriate.

Normally, I end up putting together playlists for each book that I read, normally comprising of film scores and "classical" music. I made a huge one for Hyperion that was made up entirely of 19th century music.

I'm over halfway through the book now and it still hasn't gripped me enough that I want to come up with a playlist or a selection of albums.

But, I would suggest Jerry Goldsmith's scores for Star Trek: The Motion Picture and Alien. Also Bernard Herrmann's The Day the Earth Stood Still.

While I was reading Foundation I liked to get into the "Galactic Empire"-vibe, so I actually listened to a lot of the Mass Effect soundtrack:
