Sarah (simplysarah13) | 315 comments I'm having to read Lord of the Flies for AP Lit right now. Even though it's a classic, I just don't like it. Ugh!

Sister's Keeper was really good, but really really sad. Same with Lovely Bones. I loved both, and I don't normally like that type of book.

Mockingjay was really, really confusing, so I had to read every paragraph at least 4 times to understand what was going on. & Forever was really disappointing

Thirteen Reasons Why was a great book, but the ending should have had some twist

message 157: by Erin (new)

Erin Latimer | 108 comments lol, I thought the entire book was a twist! It was totally different.

Although, to be honest I was secretly hoping she would turn out to be alive in the end :(

I'm reading My Sister's Keeper at the moment and I'm finding it very sad as well. One book I've read recently which disappointed me was Foundation. It was soooooooo boring and slow that it made me fall asleep more times than I care to count. I believe that it wasn't one of her better books.

Gisbelle | 25787 comments My most recent one is Fate (Fate #1) by Elizabeth Reyes which I just finished earlier today.

Erin Latimer | 108 comments I noticed Shiver is on some people's "disappointing" list. I just bought it because I liked the author's youtube vids. I really hope I like it! :O

message 161: by Ashley (new)

Ashley Reads (summerfirefly) | 370 comments I loved Shiver! :)

message 162: by Erin (new)

Erin Latimer | 108 comments Okay I'm glad. I don't really like the whole "alpha male" werewolf thing, but I'm getting the idea that Shiver's romance is really different. I'm excited to read!

Everybody was saying how good this book was, but I read it and I could barely make it through, I was just really disappointed, I did not enjoy it.

Agreed! The series is overrated. Most annoying series in the history of literature. (Sorry Twilight fans)

message 172: by Livy (new)

Livy Nevermore by James Patterson

message 173: by Erin (new)

Erin Latimer | 108 comments Reporting back on Shiver: I actually liked it! The writing was very elegant. Plot was kinda...meh. But I enjoyed it. Gonna buy more books from the writer I think. I hear Scorpio Races was really good.

kirstin ✿ (shoutohdoroki) Based on the books that I have just read, Marked is the most disappointing and annoying book. Ever.

Anybody else really, really, really dislike this book?

message 177: by Birdie (last edited Apr 02, 2013 05:51PM) (new)

Birdie (purple_feather22) | 294 comments I want to comment on everything, LOL.

I can't find the comment now but someone said they didn't like the Blue Bloods series. I like the first couple books but the last 2 have been big disappointments. They just seem like they didn't resolve anything and are incredibly stagnate. I have a feeling that's how the author felt too sense it took her 2 years to come out with the last book. I got about 1/4 of the way through Gates of Paradise and was so bored I quit reading and moved on to another book.

I really like Shiver. I know it had its slow points but I wasn't disappointed with it.

I also didn't likeBeautiful Creatures. It was sad when I saw the movie tailor because I didn't like to book and I figured I probably wouldn't like the movie either. I felt bad when some of my friends wanted to see it and I told them I wouldn't go because I didn't like the book.

I liked Matched okay but I couldn't get through Crossed. It was another book I got about 100 pages into and was just bored with and quit.

I don't normally like to just leave a book hanging so at some point I will probably go back and finish both of them because I bought both books and I don't want my money to go to waste.

message 178: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments I liked Shiver too :) I don't know why, but it might be one of the best werewolf books I have read.

message 179: by Gabs (new)

Gabs Project ELE (ELE, #1) by Rebecca Gober . The reviews made this book sound amazing, but it seemed like it was written by a ten year old.

Also, Lucky Charm (Beacon Street Girls, #8) by Annie Bryant . These used to be one of my favorite series, but now, I absolutely hate them.

LOL, mine are all so obscure :)
