I consider it my go-to for anything type-related. I often make the copywriters and corp comm people I work with refer to it for guidance as well. It's a MUST-have.
Good 170+ pages, only about 80 pages gave me good information. The Picas, Inches and Points was something to always remember. Also the history of typography was well covered and referenced. However it's too shallow, barely scratches the surface of typography. Maybe it wasn't meant to be a book that teaches you typography/lettering construction. So if that's what you sought then I suggest you find a different book.
