I totally disagree that Bill is not the hotter of the two. In the book, that's to be disputed but in the tv show/movie, Edward couldn't touch him.

I don't read Twilight, but I think Robert Pattinson is nowhere near Stephen Moyer in terms of hotness.
I don't like Bill at all (in the books or on the show) so Edward wins out on both counts for me. Put him up against Eric on the other hand and he's going down lol.
As a member of Team Bill and Team Edward...in a head-to-head, Bill wins hands down. Edward is downright goofy compared to Bill.Great topic, by the way.

I haven't seen the Twilight movie, so just comparing book to book, Edward wins (though its close). Just appearance wise from the live actions? Bill! Stephen Moyer is way hotter than the kid who plays Edward. I think its probably an age thing. Granted I'm only 28, but done up to look permanantly 17 movie-Edward just looks like a kid.

I've got to go with Edward on this one. I don't find Bill attractive at all. But, like Angie...Eric beats the hell out of either one of them.

Aw hell, if Eric is an option; it's not even a competition! It's Eric, without a doubt. Both Bill and Edward pale in comparison.

Bill is attractive on the show, not in the books. In the books he reminds me of the Count from Sesame Street only taller. But I've said that before. LOL.
Eric totally beats them all but he wasn't mentioned so I still pick Bill.
If I was a teenager again, I'd say Edward but since I'm not I have to say Bill. BUT if Eric was in the picture, I'd take the beautiful viking in a sec.

Didn't Bill mention something on the show about not liking text messaging? I guess that limits him to numbers.
I think Bill's courtly 1860's manners make him seem 'count-like'. Eric is supposed to have been a Viking...maybe the tv Eric has assimilated better than the book Eric, but I always think of him as a bit barbarian, but regal.Not interested in Eric, however Carlyle is interesting.
Ok, I am going to have to say Bill on this one just becasue he seems more vampire like. I meen come on...Edaward doesn't have fangs and he sparkles like diamonds in the sun. I wouldn't have thought this before reading the Sookie Series though since I read the Twilight series first.
Edward has that boy cute going on... Bill is more sexy like a real man. So I would say Bill is more sexy and Edward is cute.
I pick Eric! He's so much hotter than both of them. Both in the books, and in the show/movie.

Ok this is soo funny!Mary Todd But didn't you think Caryle was a bit bright in the movie? I was like wow do I need glasses? Because there is bright and then there is this! I did like his back story though.
You know I did like Twilight but um I do not think I want to date a man than can hear the thoughts of my friends and listens without being chagrined how absurd not withstanding he was watching me sleep before we had a conversation. Not to mention if I was going to have an intimate relationship with a vamp I want to be bitten that is kind of the charm.
While I love Sookie and Eric I think I would like the Vampire King from Vegas for me how sad I cannot recall his name.

As far as the actors themselves go, there is no question for me: Moyer is the hotter of the two. Probably because I'm 28 and my taste doesn't run to pretty boys that are playing 17-year olds on TV. Pattinson is pretty - gorgeous eyes in real life - but as Kandice said (msg 14), he's jailbait!As far as the characters they play, this is harder for me... on one hand, Bill (on TV) is hot, but he likes doing it in the dirt in a graveyard. Big ick factor there. Edward (in the movie), SPARKLES and won't put out. I don't know... tough decision. I think Bill is going to win with me.
And, lastly, as far as the book characters go... Edward, I guess. Sparkling aside, I have always thought Bill was a butthead - "Butthead Bill" is so fitting. :) Eric in the book would beat out both of them - especially amnesia Eric.

I really don't think its fair to compare the two. One they are two different types of Vampires. The Twilight Saga portrays them as being beautifull creatures that can curb their hunger and drink from animals as to where in the Sookie Stackhouse series they don't instead its more sexual and they dont' really give up human blood they actually just get a synthetic form of it. But if you are talking in general i like Edward way better because he at least knows how to show his love towards bella, as to where Bill is just a punk when it comes to sookie and is okay with letting Eric have her if he so desired to aquire her

You can still like both for different reasons...but totally worthy of comparison.
By the way...I pick Bill. Edward gets on my nerves every time I see a teenage girl clutching her Twilight books. The teen frenzy behind these books have soured them for me.
I think that Bill is a better Vampire because lets face it he doesn't even kill animals. He just drinks synthetic blood. I also think that Bill is a little more adult. But on looks, I think that Edward wins hands down. There are a lot of things that I do not like about Bill and Edward. I think that Bill sucks for always disappearing when Sookie needs him. And like Bill Edward sucks for leaving Bella. But I think that Edward is genuine about his love for his leading lady. I think that Bill plays too many games.
