Okonkwos father was a drunk and he didn't have any titles, farm or wives. And Okonkwo wanted to be the opposite of his father. Okonkwos fathers characteristics urged Okonkwo to be a better man than his father, it made him earn titles, buy a farm and grow yams, get wives, be the best type of man he could be. His father made it so he was a better man than his father. Some of his main characteristics were: He would not allow himself or his family to show weakness. He was a great wrestler. He preferred not to settle situations with words but with his fists. He strived to be better than his father and to do everything that his father would not do.
Okonkwo's dad was a drunk and he wanted to be the oppisit as him. Okonkwo had no pitty for his dad. he tried his best to be better that him.
Okonkows father, Unoka was a lazy and improvident he did'nt really think of what was going to happen the next day. If okonkows father had any money in his hands he would waste it on beer, he owed money to mostly all his neighbors.
Okonkow was a son to very lazy and drunk father his father always borrowed money but rarely ever payed back and Okonkow hated his father and all his lazy ness. He always said that he's never going to be like his father and he is going to hate what he loved.
Okonkwo was a tough guy. He always seemed ready to pounce on somebody. He was also well known in all the nine villages. He had brought honor to his village by defeating Amalize the cat. his wives and children feared him, especially his youngest wife. He also wasn't very patient with men who weren't successful, but he definitely had no patience for his father, Unoka. Unoka was a lazy drunk who owed all of his neighbors money. People called him agbla and a coward. Okonkwo did not want to be anything like his father.
Okonkwo was a great wrestler who was slippery as a fish in water, he was very big and muscular. He doesn't try to control situations with words but with his fists, he was very much feared by his wives and children. He always has his mind set on being successful since his father was the exact opposite. As a kid he was always ashamed of his father whom had no titles or barns, they called him an agbala (women). Now his whole life was dominated by the thought of failure so he promised to hate everything his dad loved which ended up in being a cruel man.
Okonkwo is a very tenacious, devoted , and hard working man. Yet he has a very hot temper and if provoked can fly off the handle very easy. He has no petty for sensitive/unsuccessful people, the kind of people like Unoka his father. Okonkwo's father was a lazy drunk how held no title, and no farm.He was very much in debt with his neighbors, and the money that Unoka did get was usually spent on palm wine. This left his wife and child with almost no money for food. In fear that he would turn out like his dad Okonkwo then for hated all the thing that his dad love in hope that he would not become a failure like his father.
Okonkwo is a devoted man who is highly determined to succeed. He is easily provoked by people who do not seem to have the drive to succeed, such as his father ,Unoka. Okonkwo has succeeded thus far in his life because he always tried and now has three wives and several barns of yams. He is very strong and is a highly respected warrior. He has a title and is a village elder. Unoka only had one wife and none of the rest and so was a drunken failure who was deeply in debt. Okonkwo tried to emulate the exact opposite of his father and force his sons to do the same. He above all feared to be weak.
Okonkwo was a powerful wrestler who defeated the Cat. He was a hard worker and despised lazy and weak people. Okonkwo grew yams and had three wives. He did not like his father because his father was incredibly lazy man with major debts.
Okonkwos wanted to be different from his father. Because his father is a drunk. He didn't have any nicknames, farms, or wife's .
Okonkwo is ashamed of his father, because he was a drunkard, bore no titles, and had no wives. Okonkwo strives to be different in every way from his father.
Okonkwo is pictured as a strong, fearless, and secure warrior. He has many wives and children
Okonkwos father was a in the moment kind of guy . he had a lot of debts and any time he got any money he spent it on pom wine . he had no tittles and was made fun of a lot . Okonkwo was ashamed of his father and tried to be the vary opposite of him . he was a hard worker he had tree wives two tittles and two barns full of yams
He is a very strong, pitiless man who has no respect for people who don't earn they're way in this world. What affects him so greatly about his father is the fact that his father has no way to take care of himself and Okonkwo wants to be the exact oposite of his father.
Okonkwo was a strong man who thought very highley of himself. Because of this he looked lower onto everyone elce. Unless they were welthy and had worked to be where they were. he was a man who was strict and belived everyone should be like him. His father was the opisit and more laied back. He did not have as much as his son and was looked down on. This is why Okonkwo is how he is. He never wanted to be like his father.

Okonkwo's father, Unoka, was always in debt and as a coward. Whenever Unoka got some money, he would always spend it on palm wine, leaving his wife and child starving. Okonkwo hated everything about his father, and he strives to be the exact opposite of Unoka.
Okonkwo is a strong, hard-working, short-tempered, abusive, young man who was "tall and huge,[with] bushy eyebrows and wide nose [which] gave him a very severe look."(p.1-2). Unoka loved anything good, music making, feasting, he was a failure, he was poor, he was always in debt, he was a coward, he was not a good provider, he was a loser
Okonkwo's father was a drunk. He borrowed money from everybody just to buy more wine. He had no land or farms, and his wife and kids were often lacking food. Okonkwo is a hardworking man who wants to be the opposite of his father.

His father was weak, lazy, a drunk, and believed that he should be rewarded for his praise of the gods even though he did little work compared to other men. He also didn't leave Okonkwo with any inheritance, which was considered shameful and made Okonkwo's life harder because he had to start up with nothing which was something very few people had to do. He began his farming life share cropping. "Share-cropping was a very slow way of building up a barn of one's own. After all of the toil one only got a third of the harvest. But for a young man whose father had no yams, there was no other way." Okonkwo was embarrassed by this and felt that in order to be successful he should be the exact opposite of he father.
