Kevin | 109 comments For the 10 of you who liked my web manga and actually like what I write, I've an announcement :D

As of today, Feb 1st, I've unleashed online ebooks in a fashion that no one to my knowledge has yet done. It looks like you're reading a book :D I've put a semi edited Moors up (I will do a finish edit it should I make enough money to recover losses from the first print preparation - or I might actually make editing a reader participatory contest. I need to find the legals on that).

Anyway, this counts as a quirk of mine, because I've spent the last 3 months working on this. Not Moors itself, but the whole project of transforming my website to handle ebooks and stories. I've already got a couple of writer friends who are interested in sending me their stories (they'll make money from the ads), and besides that, I'm nearing completion of my original project I started 4 months ago. At first it was going to be small, but it's turned into a massive undertaking.

I've a library full of short stories I've written. Some you'll hate. Some you'll not care about. But I'm hoping you'll find one or two you'll actually like :)

I've prepped the website to be friendly to people with blackberries, so they can enlarge the "book pages" and read them as a normal book. I'm kinda proud of this, because it took me a while to solve some of the inherent issues with webpublishing.

I'm hoping to put my superhero novel on the site in the coming year, along with classics that have already entered public domain. I don't want to flood my readers with a ton of books at once, so I'm going to pace myself with the releases. You'll notice this first release is a short story and not an actual book. As always if you find a problem with the site please contact me. You do need a flash compatible browser to read the books, sorry :(

Multi-lingual versions and versions for sight impaired are coming in the next year or two, I have some problems with each that I must solve.

Anyway, ty for allowing me to take this time to plug my site :)

The library site can be found here:

and as always, PandaKing is here (although I don't have page 6 done because I was working on the library project)

Jaimey (jaimeygrant) | 12 comments Hey Kevin,

I checked out your site. Very nice. I'm only on pg 5 of "Moors" at this point, but so far, no problems. Great job!

I also added your short stories book to my wishlist. I really enjoyed the excerpts I read so I'm hoping to order it soon...*fingers crossed*

Keep up the good work.

~Jaimey

Kevin | 109 comments Thank you very much, Jaimey :D by the way, I totally understand that my Kevin Conner's Strange Tales vol 1 book is expensive (Five bucks for a mere 112 pages :( ). And that's also part of why I am into this whole ebook thing - so people can have it without having it ;D

Anyway, I do plan on releasing a "complete" version of my strange tales and short stories later on (maybe next year), and that might actually be cheaper in the long run, so don't worry about buying my book for now if it's a little too pricey :D

I can actually get more money from advertising revenue if people click the ads lol (shhhh don't tell google I asked you to click the ads ;) )

Jaimey (jaimeygrant) | 12 comments ...mum's the word...

Meanwhile, $5 is pretty darn cheap. I'm just one of those that has to have the $25 order to get the free shipping from amazon. My trouble at the moment is deciding which books I want the most since it will be another few months 'til I can order again. (tight budget)

*groan*

message 7: by Kevin (new)

Kevin | 109 comments ;D well I won't be offended if you choose not to order for the time being ;D

Kevin | 109 comments HI!

I know not many of you read stories online, but if it helps, I made sure the book pages are a cream color so they are easy on the eyes. I don't expect anyone to sit down and read my stories in one day :D IF you do choose to read in your spare time, I suggest a page a day at most (unless you're like me and have to read 4-5).

The story I put up is titled Chrur. Those of you who have read my stuff before have most likely read this one. It's an adventure type of jungle book. The main character is a black panther. I hope you like it if you read it!

I've finally finished my choose your own adventure novel. I wanted to post it next week, but it's going to need some editing, and then the conversion process from book to *.swf format takes me about 12 hours for 40 pages (because I'm slow and I do it manually to make sure it gets done right). So I'm looking at end of March, maybe my birthday (the 20th - first day of spring where I live).

It's a big novel.

Anyway, hope you have fun reading! And as always, if you like the story, feel free to click a google ad or two ;D

Kevin | 109 comments Hi guys :)

Since this is my shameless self promotion thread I might as well update it to let you all know what's going on.

I just figured out how to operate MobiPocket (it's a free ebooking service online, www.mobipocket.com - I suggest all of you try to operate it!)

Anyway I just figured out how to work it so I am testing it out with Chrur. If you don't want to read chrur for free you can buy it here for $1 or if you wait till spring (20th - 27th), it's $0.10 :D
http://www.mobipocket.com/en/eBooks/e...
It's specially formatted for kindle, but it's still a comfortable fit for all ebook readers that can read mobi content ^_^

Click Here to Puchase from Amazon.com for $0.80!

Kevin | 109 comments Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 / 7:20pm - 12 days, 8-14 hours per day, and I finally converted the largest writing project I've ever attempted into web format.

!YAY!

http://thelibrary.ninjanezumi.com/jou...

Btw, there is also a contest associated with the writing project! Just visit this website for more information: http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/1...
AND THAT'S NOT ALL! I've also got a mousepad for sale on my cafepress.com website (store links) featuring my linework and Mary Mak's coloring entitled "Konekomimi's Fields" (C)2008-2009 Kevin Conner. It's the cover picture for "Journey to Tokushi". The sides are a little clipped to give a near full fill of the pad. Keep watching the spot as I plan on having Mary Mak's wonderful coloring on my linework available for sale through Deviant Art in print form.

Don't forget friends neighbors and fiends, I get money from ad revenue so if you like it, pls click a google ad or two :)

thank you very much:
