Beyond Hades question

Honestly, I hated Beyond Hades, the writing was terrible, but I do love mythology. If you're okay with books that put a differnet twist on mythology you might like The Dark Wife. Its worth a try.

I enjoyed Beyond Hades. I'm always looking for a different twist on the myths. Butch, I think that was the secondary character's name is what made the book, and it's my understanding the the 2nd book will feature him as the main lead. The Dark Wife looks interesting. I ordered it and will start reading it immediately. I love the idea of Hades being female! Most mythology books have the gods being emotionally distant beings, or overly emotional wimps (The Goddess Legacy anyone?) so I'm excited to try this one. Thanks for the recommendation-and the response!

Beyond Hades was okay. Slaves of Valhalla (the second book in The Prometheus Wars series) was better. If interested, read my reviews of both books.

Having said that, the premise of The Prometheus Wars was interesting, and the ending of the second book leaves us open for a possible third book or a possible new series. Romyn clearly knows his mythology, and the premise for the series has so many possibilities for new stories.
