i don’t believe in the one or soulmates BUT TEAM JESS ALL DAY ALL TIME , logan was an amazing bf tho and probably what she needed but jess is superior
I think Logan complimented Rory's needs the most and allowed her growth as a character. Their relationship for the most part was comfortable. Jess matured later in the show and into "Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life" but originally, he was immature when it came to Rory's decisions and his own and he didn't take things (life) seriously. He wasn't good for Rory's character, he didn't inspire her to be better, he didn't give her the space she needed, and he wasn't there for her when she needed him the most. He was inconsistent in the relationship. And finally, Dean was sweet at first but then he wanted to control Rory, pick apart everything she did, and was way too quick to anger over little things.
i'm team jess for myself. team logan for rory lol. jess matured and rory didn't. jess worked on himself. and you will never hear me say this about any man ever, but jess is too good for rory. just cause i don't like logan as a person either and i think he sucks, i think he's better for rory. they're both not good people so i guess it works. at the end of the day, rory needs to get her stupid little self together before she's ready for a relationship again. also if we're also gonna talk ab dean....he is the worst character on the show. so manipulative, always angry, made rory feel guilty for everything, freaked out over the littlest stuff, AND cheated on his wife with her. he's a train wreck of a person and i hate him with a burning passion. also his hair for most of the show was so bad and i don't think he's attractive. but that's unrelated.
Logan but I also loved Jess too with Rory

i will always take dean slander. that man is the best example of a misogynistic, toxic and controlling man. so i would literally choose ANYONE except dean.
i haven’t made up my mind whether if i’m team jess or logan, definitely not dean i hated him and the way he treated rory, such a toxic relationship. anyway, i love both jess and logan, i feel like logan was a great boyfriend and jess was rory’s soulmate but sadly their relationship was the exact definition of the right person the wrong time
okay here's my opinion, don't come at me. I really think if Tristan and Rory would've met again like her senior year of high school going into yale- they would've ended up together. If you disagree I get that but Tristan really did care for her, and like they had underlying chemistry until he left the show. If he would've stayed in the show they would've ended up together. And okay I get it if you don't like dean but literally, if you are going to say Jess was better than him then like no, Jess legit was so not nice and tried to make Rory do stuff REMEMBER?? And dean protected her and punched jess- because whether a not he was still in love with her or not like he knew Jess was a bad boyfriend. And like I get you may think Dean was overprotective bf but that's just because he really loved Rory. And like Logan, was an untrustworthy boyfriend- like they never had ANY communication at all and he was just a rude bf. If you agree with me- thank you. If you don't I'm glad to hear why just don't attack me pls
I've always been team Logan. I think she loved him the most out of everybody and he challenged as well as supported her. I think they had the healthiest relationship at the end, despite having some ups and downs in the beginning.

I'm team Jess NOT because I think he was a great boyfriend but because I really liked that he was on the same page intellectually as Rory. But you are right he tried to go too far with Rory and that wasn't OK.
Jess, with reservations... He seemed to grow into a decent person in the revival, but in the original series, he was not a great boyfriend or ready for a commitment, as is his right. I enjoyed Jess' character and wish he could've been in Rory's life more because I think he challenged her the most. He was able to keep up and even push her intellectually, and he was real. He didn't plume her feathers; when she was being an entitled brat, he let her know.
So here’s the deal Dean and Rory were so boring, they had horrible communication and Dean didn’t challenge her. At the same time, he wasn’t a comfort when she was challenged. Also, as he married Lindsay so soon, Dean was ready for forever and Rory would’ve wanted to wait. They wouldn’t have made it past Yale, Dean would’ve wanted her to drop out, encouraged it.
In the show itself, Dean and Rory’s affair was horrible to both Lindsay and Dean, and just horribly handled. It Rory bad felt the guilt as soon as it happened that would’ve been much better. Honestly, I think Rory should’ve had her first time in a spur of the moment at Yale. Making it such a big deal with Dean was so shoe horned in. Their chemistry was awkward and the reality of the situation just left a bad feeling.
I like Jess. I hate how they started. Absolutely hate it. Dean and Rory were definitely at their time to break up, but it shouldn’t have happened because Dean was jealous of Jess. The kiss at the end of season 2, Dean and rory should already be broken up. Rory just wants to wait because she’s 16 and scared.
Again miscommunication. I appreciate that he challenged her and brought up Rory out of her bubble with his personal life.
I appreciate that he cared about her and was a different kind of maturity. There are certain things that just show how much he cared for her.
I hate that Jess and Dean fight at the party. It’s so stupid and goes on way too long
I will say this, I love Jess in the later seasons and I love him in the revival.
Jess needed time, he was angry and sometimes cruel because he was forced into a place that was unbelievably nosy.
He also got that time. In the later seasons it’s obvious he really loved Rory, but moved on with his life. He worked hard and made something of himself.
He matured
Logan. For a long time he was my favorite. He seemed like it was finally the right time and right place. I appreciate how they communicated that Rory wanted a serious relationship fairly early on. He was intelligent and kind but the problem comes in the ending.
Of course Rory wouldn’t have wanted to marry him. She finished her last year at Yale that seems impossible and Logan wants to marry her. She would’ve wanted a career. I’m assuming the affair started a few years after she graduated just because eight years seems like a long time. My problem with Logan is that he complains and to a degree, I appreciate Lorelai’s aversion to Logan. It comes from a good place, her aversion to Jess is spur of the moment and poorly founded. As their relationship continues, I can’t stand their miscommunication and clashing career paths. I wish in the revival they were friends instead of together.
I think if there’s ever another follow up, Rory and Jess will mirror Luke and Lorelai but I doubt that Jess will be so content with staying in Stars Hollow, regardless if its for Rory. If that’s true then Logan mirrors Christopher and I think it would hit but they would both move on.
I would also hope that Rory and Jess would not have such a prolonged teased romance as Luke and Lorelai, wake up, smell the coffee, wrap it up.
Here is my opinion on all three of them. Utterly and completely despise Dean. He was mean, always angry when he didn't get his way, and emotionally abusive. He is not the "great first boyfriend" that Lorelai likes to think that he is.
Oh boy, do I love Jess. Do I love how Jess and Rory get together? Not really. And I don't love their relationship either because it is wrong place wrong time. BUT the potential is there. Especially as he matured and grew in the later seasons. He always loved Rory - even in the revival and he became one of her biggest supporters. Jess is to Rory what Luke is to Lorelai.
Logan. He's great. He makes mistakes but he pushes Rory out of her comfort zone and encourages her to be a better person. He was the boyfriend that really cheered her along in life and as she pursued her dreams. Are they end game? No I don't think so. And I really hated the fact that they were both cheating on their partners with each other in the revival. That completely tarnished Logan for me.
Honestly, I'm team Logan in the show. But I'm team Jess all the way through both the show and revival. I will never on any planet be team Dean.
Grown up Jess for sure! If he wasn't an option though, perhaps Logan. Definitely not Dean.
jess! I wasn't fond of him when he said ily to Rory but when Rory was with Logan, I realized he was the better choice and his CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT HUHU
Jess was the best option! He was the only one that truly loved her and actually cared. Logan cared, but not on an emotionally deep level. Dean was an ass. He cheated on his wife to be with Rory!
For me it’s definitely Jess. Dean is obviously a no but Logan is just not the best for me… I mean he was okay but Jess had definitely more chemistry

TEAM JESS ALL THE WAY. Dean was hella toxic and jealous. Logan was good for Rory, but i feel like their relationship would have been better if the show's writing on the last season was not horrible; however, with jess, Rory always was the best she ever was on the whole ru of the show. they complimented each other, grew together, and most importantly, there were a perfect match.
I definitely think that Jess is the person she is supposed to be with. Dean was too good for Rory. But Logan was just not the one. Over time, he showed how he was not loyal as he was sleeping with Rory while he had a fiancé. But Jess is the reason that she ended up going on that career path that she went with.
dean has SOOO many red flags and tries to cover them up, i could tell that from s1. he’s so toxic idk how people like him. and has great as logan is, i just feel like they both aren’t really MEANT for eachother yk i feel like it will always be jess. jess and rory just seem made for eachother.
I think that Logan was the best boyfriend for Rory, because they matched each other so well, and Logan was the only one of Rory's boyfriends who understood her wealthy parents and how to handle social functions with them, dinners, etc. I also think that her grandparent's approval was very important to Rory and Logan was who they liked best. Logan and Rory were both very smart and driven, but Logan helped Rory let loose and have fun. However, I didn't like how they were both cheating on their significant others in AYITL, like if they wanna be together just be together! I didn't really like either of them in AYITL.Like I said, Logan is the best boy for Rory, but I personally like Jess as a character the best. He was one of my favorite characters overall and if I were Rory, I would have definitely chosen him. Jess got her on the right track again after she was taking time away from Yale, whereas Logan fine with letting Rory throw away her future. Jess however did not have as many ambitions and did not work as hard as Rory. I think if he actually tried in school and went to college with her, they would have definitely ended up together.
As for Dean, I literally hate him so much. He was terrible to Lindsey and didn't treat Rory very well after their breakup. He always seemed bitter when he talked to Luke about Lorelai and Rory and just handled everything so immaturely. Rory and Dean would have never worked because he had very little ambitions and was happy to stay living in Stars Hollow being a worker and not going to college. Rory had more goals and actually wanted to make something of her life.
I'll always love Jess, but I'd have to go for Logan.
All three of them came at the perfectly unique timing in Rory's life. While it had been tough on Dean's side when he witnessed Rory fall for Jess though Jess does have his stand already being a reader and all.It may have been fine if Jess and Rory kept a good book club-ish friendship there but nonetheless who would've resisted Jess' charisma and witty sarcasms.
Logan on the other hand have been built up with such character development that you would just go "awww he deserves Rory" though we may have contention if we put that vice versa.
I'm Team Jess. He is just the kind of bad-boy/good-guy. He really loved Rory and that's why I'm all the way Team Jess.
