Can someone tell me if there is eventually any diversity in any of the IAD series? I've only read to book 7.

They are great books regardless. I wish there was more diversity in them, but they aren't a loss just because they aren't. I say give them a try.

There are so many different types of characters in these books. more then one kind of vampire, different kinds of demons, valkryie, wolfs, witches, humans, and others.
The different types of creatures is one of the reasons that I like em, but I really like readin about someone with pigmentation in my books. Lady D, I will give em a try. Thanks for ur feedback.
Racial and cultural diversity is something I'm always looking for in my paranormals too. Legends and people that don't come from the European traditions. There's a huge world out there! Still love IAD, of course.
Andrea and Charmer, you might give Nalini Singh's books a try. She is known for her very diverse cast of characters in both the Guild Hunter and Psy-Changeling series. The Psy race in the Psy-Changeling series are almost all of very mixed race as the Psy intentionally and purposely "mix things up", looking for the most powerful genetics and psychic powers regardless of ethnicity. So, you have h's and H's who are mostly or part Indian or Asian, part African, part European, all mixed up. And then there are some blue-eyed blondes and redheads thrown in too.Now . . . back to the IAD!

I like good stories period. My problem is when I read a very long running series and there is absolutely no diversity. I start feeling a little alienated. I love this series, and I always will. I like it for what it is. Do I wish there was more racial diversity? Yes.

I also recommend the Psy-Changeling series. It is excellent and the racial diversity is one of the things that appeals to me the most.
I agree I would like there to be more diversity as well. All the females are slim and pale except Mariketa. And all the men are 6 feet and and half :-). Someone of color has to live in the Lore. I love the books anyway and enjoy Ms. Cole's writing...
Hi, im very new to this series, just started reading The Warlord Wants Forever. Im halfway through, just a little confused, is there, or will there be more explanation in this book or further into the series about why the Valkyrie have modern slang? Is the series set in modern day and i've missed that section? Or do they travel to different time periods during the book?
The Valkyrie are in love with everything pop culture. One even has a degree in pop culture. Also there isn't any time traveling as far as can recall, but it is assumed that the entire series takes place in a modern day setting. The all have cell phones, are obsessed with Xbox and have all the modern conveniences.

Hello All! I was hoping someone could help me out with this question, see, I know that Ms. Cole has been adding bits and pieces of Lanthe and Throno's story through most of her books and even though I've read all of them up to date, I'd like to re-read the books that contain some of Dark Skye's characters but I just don't know which other books have those pieces apart from Carrow's story in Demon from the Dark. I hope this question makes sense!
Dark Desires After Dusk is when you first introduced to them, you learn more about them in Kiss of a Demon King and also as you have said Demon from the Dark
@Stephanie Thank you so much!! I have until August to re read the lot again :) I'm so happy!! Thank you~~~~
Hey, all. Since I haven't been keeping up with the IAD like I used to (I just finished "Lothaire" after having taken a break from the series since "Dreams of a Dark Warrior."), I was wondering, has KC hinted anywhere about what couple might be coming up after Thronos and Lanthe?
hey Harper KC said she can't tell right now since she isn't allowed to but when her publisher/editor agrees she will do so. Personally I think it'll be sometime after Dark Sykes release.
