All the applications are approved by a human, I guess, it's not automatic: so you should give it some time.
Nathaniel wrote: "P.S. I've gathered 50 books, and read the manual. I don't get why it hasn't approved."It usually takes a few days. Especially if you applied during the weekend and/or today, which is a US Holiday. So, if you've applied it will likely be answered Tuesday/Wednesday.

Oh, okay. Thanks.
I'm not normally a cranky person, but the one thing on the 'net that irks me is flooding (multiple posts when one will suffice. Please use the edit button). It takes a few days to be approved and impatient behavior will likely increase the chance of being denied.
I wasn't being impatient, I just didn't know it took a few days. I thought it took as long as it took for someone to reply.
And not every CAN be approved. Goodreads would be, um a madhouse, if 10 million applications were approved.AND we have hijacked this thread.

I see what you mean. I edited my post (#5) so there wouldn't be any more "mayhem" about it.
Hah. No worries. I should try and calm down a little when it comes to others posting multiple times. After all I may not know the reason why they chose to do so.Banjo, I was just thinking that.
Gaeta1 wrote: "Hi--a member of a group I belong to hid her carefully compiled list by accident. Can anyone help me to retrieve it? Thanks!"is this a list she created in a message on the group board or a listopedia?
Either way I suspect - nothing Librarians can do - I would suggest that they contact GR Support via the contact us link on the help page.
If a challenge was deleted (I don't think there is a "hide" function), it is gone and cannot be retrieved.
Listopia also has no "hide" function, but deletion of a list is harder to do.
