super librarian please separate

The first edition is volume 4 and I can't separate it from the other editions.

However, it's a mess with Quiet Flows the Don because there are 4 books:
- book 1 and 2 are usually published together and the title is "Quiet flows the Don";
- book 3 and 4 are published together and the title is The Don Flows Home to the Sea.
But sometimes all the four books are published together and the title is however "Quiet flows the Don".

But not in all languages! The Italian edition for example has 4 books and so volume 1 and 2 should be combined with "Quiet flows the Don" and volume 3 and 4 should be combined with "The Don flows Home to the Sea".
I have seen that a lot of complete editions (it means all the 4 books) are combined with vol. 1+2 because they have the same title.
I don't know what to do so I prefer to don't do anything and will wait for a super-librarian who knows what to do.

I seperateed out the volume 4. You don't need to be a super. You can use the separte tool, and separate all the editions from the most popular one.

As to cleaning up the other issues, I think I will leave that to others more familiar with the work.

One thing that can help is adding librarian notes where you can to clarify the contents of each edition.

Yes, right, I had forgotten I could do it that way! I have now combined the separated vol. 4 with the others.

I don't know the contents of every edition and some books are also without ISBN so I can't search for informations to add. I have added some detail to the editions who had an ISBN but I hadn't time to do it with all the editions.
I will give a look when I will have more time but I don't think I can make a lot for the editions without ISBN.

I have done what I could and I hope I did it right. I have added all the data I could find and have separated e combined only the volumes I was sure.
