Week 7: ♪♪ "My Boyfriend's Back" - The Angels (1963)

Review:
Well the ending seemed like a HFN rather than a HAE and the characters suffered from the "Male Cynster Syndrome".(view spoiler). There was a side story for Dmitri and Honor which was good but was a bit out of place , it should have been a novella or something .but overall I really liked the book.

I'll suffer through it. Its a last book of the series, so im glad when its over :)
Hey Ladies , Vi in the other team thread just pointed out that week 8 is the last week.Lets start the last week full force and finish first , what do you think? Can we do it?
My book is done I just have to post my review. Will post it in a few hours. Have to get my family up and running and get my son to school.

Well it didn't end up as i was thinking it would, but i can say it was happy ending. It was the last book of the series and all together it was a dull series, but i'm really happy i'm done with it :)

I don't know what I waited so long to read this book. I've had it on my tbr pile since the first rumblings about this book started. It was so good. I loved that this was not a typical YA romance book. It was all about two enemies forced to rely on each other. Survival at the end of times. There is constant action happening in this book so I was never bored it it made it hard to put down.

Review: Really enjoyed this installment to the series!! Looks like things are heating up and war is coming. Eirik and Ciara had a lot to overcome in this book, but everything came right in the end. Why do they always try to resist the mating bond? It's so futile. The secondary romance between Lais and Mairie was equally sweet to watch unfold. I'm really looking forward to finding some members of the long-lost Paindeal soon.

I got the day off today , husband woke me at 5:30 am to wish me a good day at home before going to work so for the last 5 hours I've been in bed with coffee and my tablet reading my book.(82% now)I only stopped because the tablet was running out of charge , so it's hooked up to the charger and I moved to the computer to update our progress.
I am really liking it , I don't know why it doesn't have a higher rating . Of course it might be because I have experienced 2 of the things the heroine is going through (I have all my limbs intact so prosthetic leg is not one of them)I feel for her.

I really loved this book. I felt really close to Nora for the two things that we share. (It's not the prosthetic leg, I have all my limbs )
At the beginning she was so insecure and wasn't sure if men were attracted to her or considered themselves heroes for sleeping with someone with a disability . but after building up some self confidence and some improvement , she became this strong confident woman. It wasn't a romance book more of a chick lit . There was something in it that I approve and pretty sure not everyone agrees with me. It doesn't matter how you choose to do it , you have to make yourself feel good about yourself to be happy.

Enjoyed this first in a series book quite a bit! It suffers a little bit for world-building, but nothing you wouldn't expect with a first book in any series. It has a great mix of urban fantasy and romance. I admit I like my UF with lots and lots of romance, so this was a good one for me. I will definitely be reading the next books!

. The reason being that last night I was sick and up and down all night. So I grabbed the first book I could. It was published in 1980 so it should work for the link.

Ok so yet again this year I decided to travel back in time and read a book I loved as a child. It is funny just how different it is to read books as an adult that you loved as a child. I was so looking forward to reading one scene in the book where Peter drinks too much punch and has to pee. I remember as a kid find it so hilarious and laughing so loud I almost peed myself. But now as an adult it was just a cute part of the book that I read within a minute. As a kid that scene seemed to go on and on.
I still really enjoyed the book but yet again viewed through "mommy eyes". Now instead of identifying with the kids I see it as an adult looking at what kids go through when their parents have another child.
