and
http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
are likely to be the same?
Info from Dreamscape just has Patrick Lawlor without the middle name or initial.
What is best policy/way to proceed here :) ?
Thanks!

Info ..."
Every Worldcat entry I pulled up was Patrick G. Lawlor; I merged them under that.

Agreed. I'll leave this one up to you. :)

I'll let Dreamscape know for their records as well.

This one should be fairly easy. Just change the name of the books that belong to our narrator to "Patrick G. Lawlor," and combine as needed.

I've done a few... if shows up with G as the initial then when I refresh the link to the Author without it, they are still there - is this a caching issue?
Otherwise... am I doing something incorrectly?
Karen

I think I keep having to do the same books because they are different editions, and that is going to take a very long time.

Thanks for your reply. From what I've seen so far the importers are actually incl both profiles on some books - so would it be best to leave the space there, to avoid it happening again. The 4 books for Patrick Lawlor have no ratings, cover, etc - I realise also that there are other authors with the same name - from a quick look at worldcat.
I think it might be best to leave this to someone with more experience than I have, and I'll stick to the dreamscape info :)
Cheers,
Karen

again, I'm working through Dreamscape editions, and they have this profile info for the narrator
After reading Classics at London University, Michael Tudor Barnes trained at RADA and for five years was a member of the National Theatre Company. He has also worked with the RSC, has played leading roles both home and abroad and has over 600 radio broadcasts to his credit. Television work includes The Bill and Softly, Softly; but he is probably best known to viewers as Willy Roper in EastEnders.
I've found these
which I think are the same person

(via ingram)
http://www.goodreads.com/author/show/...
(I added Dreamscape's info to this one)
http://www.goodreads.com/author/list/...
which is where the narrator could have gotten mixed up with an author
and this one, I couldn't find either of them in the link suggested, I thought I might find more info, so that I needn't post here.
this is what alerted me to it.

worldcat has Tudor Barnes (no hyphen)
Is it ok to change the authors for the 2 books against the hyphenated name, and does there need to be a note on that profile? Anything else I might need to do?
Thanks!

I have checked on worldcat and Eby (without Sirois) also comes up on a search with both surnames
I think that they are the same person, Dreamscape uses Eby without the Sirois

Is that why this record has both?
