Leila.... Who else feels shafted on this character?

Ok, so I understand she is a previous sub... It ticked me off that he "gave her a bath" that night in Ana's apartment and dressed her in Ana's clothing.. I felt that was a little over board for him to do that. I would have been pissed in real life if my significant other did that. THEN she flips the whole thing upside down and when Leila comes to see Ana, Christian treats her like a 3rd rate citizen when she tried to come appologize??? What is wrong with that picture.. If your going to show compassion one time, why not another?????????????? I think the author may be setting us up for a Leila return if she ever writes any more books.. If not, that whole sequence was just a waste of space in the book.......

I got the impression that he actually cared for Leila in his own way. Moreso than any of his other previous subs. I think he also felt guilty and responsible for her and the condition that she was in. His bathing her and giving her some of my clothes would have bothered me too, but given the circumstances, I think I would have let that irrational petty jealousy feeling go.

Given his character, I think I also understand his over the top reaction when Leila goes to see Ana. 1) He doesn't like being defied. 2) He didn't trust her and was afraid for Ana's safety. 3) He was happy in his relationship with Ana and didn't want anything to jeapordize it.

I wouldn't mind seeing her return in any future books. I never disliked her character. I felt sorry for her when she was in the midst of her breakdown and I liked her once she got herself together.
