Catching Fire
question
Peeta's New Character in Catching Fire!

I began as a simple-minded and widely devoted Gale girl for the longest time because I just loved Gale much more than Peeta because he knew her longer than he did and he was basically her best choice in a man. But that was when Peeta came in for a second time and this time after the adorable snow falling-on-ice-ending-up-together scene, I couldn't get rid out of that adorableness of Peeta out of my head and plus Gale is hardly in here. He doesn't appear to like Katiness...at all. Whatever he does in this book turns to purest gold of affection and regard and makes me love him even more than ever before. Thank you, Suzanne Collins for giving me a fourth second at loving Peeta more than Gale!!!

I liked Peeta from the start. But, the second book made me like him even more. Gale seems to be drifting away from Katniss through-out the second and third book.
I know! I was a major Gale supporter until the second book. I think its Peeta's refusal to give up on Katniss that made him so much better, whereas Gale was just moody and broody and basically an idiot.
Even though the romance was only secondary to what was going on in the book I couldn't help but fall in love with Peeta too! He was so genuine. He is so patient with her and understanding. Have you read the third book? That one makes me tear up just thinking about it!!!

Okay someone explain to me why they love Peeta???????????????????????????????????????I mean in the first book sure, obvious choice. Then I changed my mind, the guy is...A TOTAL WIMP WHO CARES MORE ABOUT STAYING ALIVE FOR A LITTLE WHILE IN A CAVE WHILE MAKING OUT THEN HE DOES ABOUT FIGHTING FOR HIS LIFE!!!did that not bother anyone else? I mean okay he wanted Katniss to not die, but he knows she's a badass, honestly...he just needed to grow a pair. Sorry I know I'm ranting, and being a little harsh. But I honestly don't get the appeal? Not saying that anyone who likes Peeta is not right to, but....explain???
